Yeah, I know I missed the Steam sales, yadda yadda, but I have a hankering to play some more Civ V on my PC, and I was trying to decide which expansion to pick up. I know that both were well received, but I don't want to grab both right now.

So, GAF, what say you? Ideology or religion? Cultural victory or espionage? BNW or G&K?

You get all of the features from Gods and Kings in Brave New World, you just wouldn't get the civilizations. But, Brave New World. Civ V is not a whole game without it any more.

Get Brave New World. It has the features of G&K, and all the great new ideology mechanics.

It doesn't include the new civs but it does include all the gameplay updates.

Brave New World is by far the best choice.

BNW , then get GNK Gold or complete or whatever when you want the other civs.

You'll only miss 9 civs and a few scenarios if by skipping G&K.

Get BNW then get G&K two days later as you'll be completely hooked and want more Civs to play with and against.

Civ V's been fine since G&K. It's exceptional now.

The features of G&K are included in BNW, the only thing you'll miss out on are the different civs from G&K.

Yes, massive improvement. Better than Civ4 IMO.
