No, it's definitely salt. I just left there. Them mothafuckas were praying to jesus, joseph and mary that LBJ would lose. They're mad he left and that their team is largely irrelevant in not too dissimilar a way that CLE fans were salty when LBJ left. Though it feels a bit more entitled and arrogant considering he brought them 2 rings in his 4 years. Fuck MIA and their fans (HeatGAF somewhat notwithstanding, as half of them had the same salty attitude since he left).

I'm dead, actually.

I live in Miami and can 100% confirm this post to be accurate. "Fuck Lebron," and "I hope he never wins again" accompanied by full and I do mean full bandwagon jumping to Steph Curry (this is a bandwagon city, after all), complete with the use of "we" in reference to the Warriors, complete with trash talking to anybody even suggesting that maybe Lebron was playing well. These from the same fans who 1.) said the Cavs fans were overreacting when he left because he's a grown man and can do what he wants and 2.) said they didn't care one way or another when Lebron left the Heat (joke of the century).

About 5 or 6 years go, there was a decent little snowstorm right around afternoon rush hour that had downtown absolutely GRIDLOCKED for hours. Usually takes me about a half hour to get home from East 152nd to the near Westside. Took me 4 hours that afternoon/night. I think this is gonna make that look like child's play. Wish my boss would just let me go home now. My work is pretty much done for the day.

Overall, highways are pretty clear right now other than 77 and 71 NB. Once this parade ends, shit is going to get outrageous.

Wow... I don't think there have ever been that many people in Cleveland at the same time before. I live about 4 hours away and have been up there a lot the city and some surrounding areas have become a pretty cool spots in Ohio especially for food.

I'm listening to the radio. It sounds like they need ppl to get out of the streets to have the parade.

Idk if they can clear all those ppl for the parade........

Could cancel that portion

So.Many.People. this is insane. the NBA has to be loving this. They mustve sold so so so much merch for this.

I remember seeing something a few years ago showing how much LeBron is worth to the Cleveland economy and it was incredible. Now that number has to be astronomical.

Especially depending on people who either Flew in, spent over night, paid pub transportation for this parade, all the businesses that will have parties tonight. its insane.

For those wondering the parade was suppose to start by now. The problem is all the ppl in the street that has caused delays. The ppl have to be moved for the parade to start, but where will they go?.......

So let's see if this happens, they might try and move onto the rally. Who knows

Edit: looks like they got it going

Just saw this: http://thinkprogress.org/sports/2016/06/22/3791145/lebron-banner-removed-gop-convention/

Iconic LeBron James Banner In Downtown Cleveland Will Be Removed For GOP Convention

After his heroic performance in the NBA Finals, it’s safe to say that nobody in the world is as beloved as LeBron James is in Cleveland right now.

So, naturally, Sherwin-Williams Co. will be removing the iconic, 10-story-tall banner of James from the side of its building on July 5, just in time for the Republican National Convention to come to town.

The banner has become a tourist destination in the city, and on Monday after the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 to complete a historic NBA finals comeback, the word “Champions” was added to the top of it.

In place of the banner, Sherwin-Williams will reportedly place a sign advertising the company and celebrating its 150 years in Cleveland

“The banner is a symbol of persistence, promise and pride in the Cleveland Cavaliers and Northeastern Ohio,” a Change.org petition urging Sherwin-Williams to leave the LeBron banner up reads. “Removing this banner will be a travesty to what we call Cleveland.”

Currently, the petition has almost 10,000 signatures.

But Sherwin-Williams claims there is no anti-LeBron conspiracy here. The company planned to take down the banner for the convention months ago, and is simply keeping with that schedule.

Cleveland.com reports that “instead of dismantling and recycling the 10-story-tall banner, Nike will resurrect LeBron James’ banner at an undisclosed date some time this fall, just before the Cavaliers start their next season.”

However, for Cleveland fans who are still reveling in their city’s first big championship in 52 years, the timing couldn’t be worse.

“Please do not take down the mural. The city has waited so long and is so proud. It is an example of what can happen when you believe,” Ohio resident Jessica McRitchie wrote on Change.org.

“LeBron James is a better role model than any of the upcoming candidates will ever be,” Akron resident Audra Giancarli added. “He is someone to look up to, someone we trust… who brings the city together rather than tearing us apart. Leave this banner as a symbol of CLEVELAND’s unity, perseverance, loyalty, and pride.”

Looks like absolute mayhem out there. Psyched for everyone there, it's been a long time coming! stay safe everyone!
