[Clickbait] Former GTA 6 developer warns trailer visuals won't match final gameplay

I wonder how 30fps GTA6 will look like on OLED screen

Every single Rockstar trailer has been improved over earlier ones with final gameplay matching the most recent before release or exceeding it. As in RDR2s case.

This would be a first.

Clickbait. He didn't say this and it was misinterpreted
Ah, of course it is.

Media/"news" is pure trash.

I think some of the crowd density looks beyond console spec.......but graphically I could totally see the game matching the trailers.

Of course it won't look like this Screenshot, it's a setup scene for the trailer.

My 20 threads are sweating just looking at this scene.
Will 24 cores with bLLC be enough........we shall see, hopefully bLLC lives up to the hype and it drops in time for me to actually enjoy this game without compromise.

I remember the difference between the Nov 2011 GTA 5 reveal trailer and the finished game that released in Sept 2013. I doubt it'll be any worse than disparity.

The problem with making comparisons is that Rockstar rarely shares gameplay videos of the game, so we'll never know what's improved or gotten worse.

Probably the same, as the Cyberpunk first trailer situation, where it looked a lot better with way more npcs doing a lot of different things very fluid.

How on earth is RDR2 a interactive movie?
Well, amongst other things, it literally features a cinematic camera that lets you proceed to the location without pressing a button. That is not to even mention the half assed and mediocre gameplay that was clearly elbowed to service the cinematic presentation of this 'product'.

This happens all the time, and is given for 6 as well. Only a fool falls for marketing and outdated trailers, but it won't matter since it's GTA and will sell as expected.

Except that Rockstar doesn't have a history of games looking worse than their trailers and there's no reason to believe it for this especially when the info in the thread has already been debunked.

RDR2 trailer one year before release. Seems in line with full game. I don't think people understand the technical wizardry at Rockstar. Even the Xbox One version of RDR2 looked and played great

Yup, Rockstar is always pretty much in line with the actual game matching up with the reveal. They're technical wizards on a different level.

Honestly i hope Rockstar releases the 3rd trailer soon because i'm sick waiting. I already said it that we talk like "Yeah, in a year GTA VI releases" but thats still 1/70 of my life if everything goes well, its just the waiting is killing me.
Anyways sorry for no new news i just hope trailer 3 releases soon.

yeah, but not just the density, also the variety of interaction/animation.
you have lots of groups of people doing a variety of things/interacting with each other. though could be a bunch of pre-canned states that just more or less cycle.

though the rumor that rockstar basically rebuilt the RAGE engine + no smelly ps4/x1 support + the dev time & budget has me cautiously optimistic.
