I don't think you understand what I'm saying- theres nothing to "prove," its just basic. Any online connected device that can dl firmware updates can be bricked. Theres nothing to debate there.
As to your 2nd point- we don't know about the OS, because we don't have all the info- what we do know is MS banned him from live, and from there- either through user error, or through an expired OS- he THOUGHT he couldnt play offline. But he can. So theres no brick.
The problem is?
I will try again to explain this, one last time.
You say that MS / Sony had the ability to ban a last gen console from offline play, at the flick of a switch. I ask you to show where the evidence is for this being true, and you tell me there is nothing to prove.
There is something to prove. You need to show me how you conclude that they could do this. You are saying in your last post that any device with firmware can be bricked, but that is not what is being argued. That is not MS / Sony banning a console from offline play, at the flick of a switch.
Do you understand what I am asking of you?
