CoD Modern Warfare - May 30th Reveal 10AM PST

Reading about how the redesigned the game engine, how the environments work, and especially the audio was badass. Hopefully that applies to air strikes. There's nothing cooler than the sound of an A10 firing it's GAU-8 ... Depending on the final attack geometry, you may hear the impacta first than the cannon firing. And it's the loudest, heaviest gun sound you'll ever hear. Also, I can't wait to see/hear how a sniper battle plays out in multiplayer. Dude if they have more battle Royale the audio is going to be fucking amazing.

I tried to play through Infinite Warfare twice and I just lost interest 3-4 hours in.
The guns sounded as threatening as wet paper bags and I don't want to fly in my shooting game. Flying missions had their highlights but they became repetitive fast. Also the characters were lame and the military aspect was boring.
I can see what the game was going for but it felt bad to play.

It really is a new badass direction that IW is taking with the series after years of redundant installments. I honestly cannot wait to see the final product and might even buy the game Day One alongside Death Stranding, the first time I buy a game on it's first day since MGS4.

I've already watched the trailer several times. I still want to see more (online), but I am very excited at what I see. It definitely has that MW vibe to it.

Stands or falls with the maps imo. If they provide open maps with multiple strategic options like MW1/Black Ops 1 I'll bite day one. If it's the standard 3 lane cramped map shit that they did in every cod since then, I'll wait for a deep sale.

More realism, grit, a focus on campaign, spec ops? Day one.

Although I am worried for base console players (like myself) surely they wont be able to do 60fps with these graphics? I'm not buying a Pro, so I hope this comes out for PS5 also... not sure how likely that is though.

So I went back to work and used my nvg's last night. They spot on have nailed the look of modern white phosphorous night vision. The lighting looks great too not just the coloration. I have seen a lot of misguided stupid videos of people unaware that older nvg's widely in use still looked very green and grainy and the most games, especially cod actually captured that quite well minus the unique lighting characteristics. instead dudes are just saying "this is more realistic compared to the green filters before"... Yes and no, because they legit look green af. Just know the main reason they look so cool is because they are based on newer tech and they definitely threw in some cool features like making IR lights and glint tape shining under the nvg's. Pretty cool!! And for reference here Click here. One thing they need to fix though: they don't make any noise especially when they turn on. That's totally made up.
