Codename D from Suda 51 for Kinect. Clown bashing action!

When I was at the Kinect reveal event at E3, and I'm like, oh hey, there's Suda (Goichi) right next to me... I'm like, yea, he's totally doing a Kinect game. And then when I saw him later on coming out of the MS booth the next time... I'm like, yea, totally totally doing a Kinect game.

And then today when I saw this thread, I'm like, he's totally COMPLETELY doing a Kinect game.

And then in a few months, when I open the package and put the game in, I'm all like, yea, I'm completely PLAYING a Goichi Suda Kinect game

And I just realized why he goes by Suda 51...I'm a dumbass.

Never payed attention to his first name. You have no idea how stupid I feel right now. :lol :lol :lol :lol

It's ok.

Now something else : the new 360 cam is called "Kinect", not kinetic.

Aren't they still a pretty small operation, though?

I think they either moved offices or just expanded space recently. They went from 40 employees to double in a short period. After NMH2 they were around 60, and now I think they are over 80.

Since Suda often works with Mikami and is always hanging out with Kojima, not to mention getting money from the likes of EA and MS, hopefully he's been able to attract a lot of real talent since they expanded so fast. Hell, he got Yamaoka (though I do love Masafumi Takada!). And Q Entertainment is still helping them somehow with Shadows of the DAMNED.

Really, he isn't a punk studio anymore. It's much more mainstream. I'm sure he's happy. Then you see a trailer like this last one, and you're like - yep, the money hasn't gone to his head. :lol Still crazy.

This ! This is pretty much what Kinect is good foor.

We need guys like Mizuguchi and co doing weird stuff with it. Not try to shoehorn normal stuff to convince people who will never be convinced.

I admit, I have none of the public hate for DAMNED, but this trailer has so much more obvious Suda-ness going for it right now.

I saw the title and this is the first thing that came to mind:

then immediately to a recently watched flick:

so it went from something cool - from the OP to a baseball type snore fest?
there was hardly anything about it in the op other than a nondescript trailer. the game could have been anything.

interesting, however I still wanna know about Haunt, Steel Battalion and Project Draco.

I can't believe MS hasn't showed anything of these titles @ this year TGS.

Ay man. Suda's gots to get paid to fund his weirdo games.
And this is how he repays us for not buying Shadows Of The Damned.

Looks stupid to me. Though, being a Brit, I probably don't understand the appeal of playing Catch and Rounders with far-off clown monsters.

I mean, isn't Rounders a girls' game?

Fuck Kinect

EDIT: Wait, so Project Draco actually exists? Colour me excited
but only if there's a controller option FUCK KINECT

TGS is also about marking the Xbox commitment to Japan, which is home to some of the most legendary games creators in our industry. One of the most important aspects of the Xbox business in Japan is the relationship with our third party development houses, and the news from those creators is plentiful:
In addition to the five titles from Japanese creators announced at last year’s Tokyo Games Show, Microsoft will announce that Happy Wars, a new title from Toylogic, will be coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade.

A demo of Project Draco from Grounding will be shown for the first time to media in an exclusive setting.

Diabolical Pitch (announced at TGS 2010 as codename D) from Grasshopper Manufacture, and Haunt from NanaOn-Sha, will be playable at Microsoft’s booth. Diabolical Pitch will be released on Xbox LIVE Arcade next year.

they will show Project Draco to the press, I hope we get to see something, that's the only interesting one from last year's announced games really.
