My favorite part of this game was when they cut to a Nevada fan with a sign up in the stands, right as he looked down to check out a girl's ass as she walked in front of him.

He made the right call.

that and the interrupted play due to a streaker

I always get depressed about this time of the year. Only a few more college games left and a handful of NFL games.

Watching that game tonight, I was thinking, has there ever been a guy like Bob Davie? Coaching an elite program in his mid-40's .. getting fired ... then never coaching again? 99% of those guys get sucked back in.

Lee Corso is probably the most visible example of someone that coached and then left the train for good relatively young. I mean, Louisville (and Indiana) are no Notre Dame's but bizarre nonetheless.

So any chance Lou Holtz's contract isn't renewed? Please Disney God!

Let's go Ducks!

Janoris Jenkins will return to UF for his senior year. He had a pretty good year considering he tore his labrum in the first game. His surgery to repair it kept him out of the bowl game and would have kept him out of the combine.

I think Corso realized he was never going to get as much money nor as steady a paycheck as he would in broadcast. He was never really exceptional, but he had TV charisma. He wasn't going to get another HC job, and broadcasting and an assistant's pay was probably around the same back then.

God I hope not, but then again, Craig James is still employed by ESPN. I would rather have mush mouth gush over Notre Dame and how they are going to go undefeated and win both the Rose Bowl and the BCS Championship in New Orleans in 2012 (don't ask how, he is on a roll!) then listen to Craig James.

Craig James's commentary about how schools should pay players is priceless. I would miss that.

Only thing I dislike about Corso is for a long time he had a Louisville grudge, he picked against us any chance he got, especially in the Petrino era,and picked wrong every time except the Rutgers game in 06 and the WVU game in 05, Now he has been supportive of the program since Strong took over, ever being involved with banquets and things

To be fair, Bobby Petrino is a scumbag.

My friend is going to the game tonight. He grew up in Oregon, so he's a die hard Ducks fan. He's sitting in great seats, and he's pumped up out of his mind. Even if it wasn't for the BS Auburn is getting away with I'd want the Ducks to win for my friend, but add in the crap that the NCAA has turned a blind eye to and I hope Auburn gets steamrolled. I don't want a good game, I want a blowout with the Ducks up 35 going into the 4th.

Shouldn't you be watering down the power lines just in case nature doesn't provide its own ice?

I'm torn. On the one hand, I would be amused if they couldn't watch their team win, but then on the other hand I'd be dismayed if they couldn't watch Oregon manhandle them.

Damn :lol

I figured you SEC guys would at least be pulling for one of your own.

Shit I think people will probably be mad if Auburn starts the chant. No one wants to be associated with them.

You figured wrong. The only way I might have to think about who to pull for in this game is if AU were playing ND. But given the whole Newton fiasco I'd even pull for the Irish.

Sweet I'm only about 10 rows back. I'll try to get some good pics from this game.

Also, although that university of Phoenix stadium doesn't hold 90k+ like the Rose Bowl and the like do, it looks absolutely MASSIVE from the outside.

So is it the rivalry thing, or sCam Newton thing? Both?

I dislike Miami, but I pulled for them in their bowl game because they're an ACC team.
and because they played ND

mre is a Red Elephant or whatever Bama fans are. I wouldn't cheer for Oklahoma in a bowl, and am kind of depressed they finally won a BCS game for the first time in 9 years.

As much as I hate Auburn and the cash cow Cam Newton (seriously it's so bad I almost miss Tebow and Meyer now, at least they had class)....... I gotta root for my SEC teams!

Let's go TIGERS!

Just make sure your ISP plays nice with ESPN3. Mine doesn't (yet) and I can only view highlights & such.
Yeah, I'm sadly in the same boat. No live games on XBL yet although it does work on the PC.

Are ACC and SEC fans the only ones that cheer for rivals in bowl games due to conference affiliation? I never want the Utes to win. Ever.

It is awesome and essential for any man without cable.
Ayup. I use ESPN3 constantly.

And now you can root against them and not worry about conference affiliation in the slightest!
