I called the OSU game (not on this forum, though) :D Whenever my favorite tennis player wins on a Saturday (semi-finals), OSU wins and when he loses, OSU loses. Been that way for 3 straight years.

Djokovic will win today too.

Ingram was a 3 Star by about every recruiting site. So I guess "Diamond in the Rough" could apply.

Running-backs are so damn hard to predict going from high school to college and from college to pro. There's so many factors involved.

Wow @ the Oregon game. Wish I could have seen that one. (maybe I could have but I have no idea which channels it was on--if not all--were blacked out)

Wasn't Coffee like a 4-5 star? Ingram turned out to be waaay better than Coffee ever did.

Well, Coffee did have a great Junior Year. I don't know that Ingram is WAY ahead of where Coffee was, but yeah, Ingram is a better RB.

Ingram 144 yards Rushing 30 yards Receiving. A nice 174 yard day against a Top 10 team.

The Bama game was such a joke. Both teams struggled at least half the time on offense, defense kept them both in the game and it was clear on the last two major drives Bama wasn't trusting McElroy.

Also, Lee looked just as bad as he did last year. If there was any team that is consistently overrated its LSU and I have no idea how they clawed back into the top 10 but thats for another time.

Ingram is straight beast though. They weren't joking on ESPN about his ability to make plays after initial contact. And then to a lesser extent, Scott also had some nice runs.

Wow! There were some epic games today. ND losing to Navy a second year in a row is LOLful. Oregon losing to a bunch of fucking nerds from Stanton? Un-ducking-believable. I missed some good games early. I hope we don't get bit by Vandy. PEACE.

From Stanford sir.

Over at Stanton we didn't have a football team:(

Well, They had a 1 score lead, and a FG puts it into a 2 score lead, against a team that had long since burned their Timeouts. Run that clock down, try to get into range, and it worked...ish. I think his only attempt was the Corey Webster'd Interception.

So, Julio.....yay for the long pass and a couple conversions late, but...

Dropped 2nd down pass off the goaline leading before the safety.
Was the 12th man on the field on the goaline.
Half Assed and let PP be the aggressor on that Interception.

How about LSU tapping the ball closer to the goaline to "down it" inside the 1, before the Safety?
Or the No Catch early to Smelley that was ruled incomplete, but he caught it?

And no Holding calls on either team all game.

Ya know, I love the CBS guys, but it's good to watch a game where there's not a commercial every punt or kickoff. Makes the game flow better.

:lol :lol :lol you really think the refs would allow a Vandy win? lolz. anyways, Oregon's loss pretty much puts Boise St. out of contention for a BCS bowl.

Eh, it was a horrible call, but there's no possible way Jarrett Freakin' Lee was leading them down the field to score.

It destroys the integrity of the game. I would of liked the team who earned their interception given the option to play out their 4 downs.

Man, so many penalties against GT today. Maybe they were just horrible and Wake Forest hardly did anything worthy of a penalty, but it still seemed really odd. I don't understand what counts as holding/pass interference, and I don't know that I've ever even SEEN a "chop block" penalty called, let alone three in one game.

*loses a few more years off his life due to stress*

I hope Oregon State beats Cal today, though.
Might get your wish, Cal down 14-0 already. At least Riley's starting to heat up a little now.

Edit: Best with a TD but gets launched in the air when vaulting a defender and landed badly on his back/shoulder. He's still down after a few minutes. :(

I was just about to post about this, gruesome.

When a guy is wheeled out on a stretcher, with an air mask on, and he looks to be unconscious and there's no movement after 15 minutes or so... it's probably a pretty bad sign.

Could be anything from severe concussion to spinal injury to paralysis. May be the last time we ever see Best play football. May be the last time we see him walk.

I just hope it doesn't end up like the UW guy who got paralyzed from a play and ended up dying a few years later.

Looked like he came down on his back. I don't know if that is better or worse.

Fuck that was terrible.

They cut into the FSU Clemson game a few minutes ago showing a horrendously injured Cal player - is he okay? They said he hadn't moved...eek.

He looked like a grotesque ragdoll from some videogame, the way he landed and his body just went immediately prone. That really, really sucks.

I would think that would be better, but he had so much height that it probably doesn't matter much at that point.
