I've already made the Yahoo Bowl group if people care/are interested:

McElroy > Ingram not so lol-worthy.

Was the more dominant force against Auburn and was far more dominant against UF. Hell, even two of his runs were better than any run Ingram but forth (although Ingrams first TD run was solid).

Well, more of a :lol considering what most everyone thought of the QB throughout this year, only to be considered the best player on the offense at the end of the year.

It's like having the Baltimore Raven SuperBowl team, and having someone go "Trent Dilfer was the sole reason they were able to win the game" It just doesn't feel right to say/hear.

But can't complain. Win however you can win, Dammit.

ESPN's bowl projections have TCU playing BSU. That would be super lame. The whole appeal of the mid-major going to a BSC game is seeing them take down Goliath. No one wants to see David play David.

Heisman Top 3:

1. Gerhert
2. Suh
3. Kellen Moore

Top 8

1. Alabama
2. TCU
3. Cincinnati
4. Boise State
5. Texas
6. Florida
7. Oregon
8. Ohio State

These are the best 8 teams, put them in a playoff for fuck's sake. It's the 21st century and shit needs to be settled on the field. Cincinnati, TCU, and Boise State will now play pointless games. It's not about who Texas isn't it's about getting it right. It might be right, but doing it like this is not fair, and not smart, and it only makes the national championship even more hollow.

Surprise! All 3 west of the Mississippi, where Real Football is played!

Insane Fark Material

Looking for highlights of the Florida/Alabama game, since I missed it. So far can only find the one minute highlight reel on CBS Sports. Digging through youtube, nothing yet. But lots and lots and LOTS of videos of Tim Tebow crying, though. :lol

SF Chron on Cal:
Kyle Whittingham is going to find out officially today that Utah, the team he coaches, has drawn Cal in the Poinsettia Bowl, and he will begin to watch tape of the Bears' season.

After about an hour, and somewhere between the eight impressive wins and the four gruesome losses, he will turn to his coordinators and say, "Well, fellas, I have no idea what we're dealing with here. Let me know when you've figured them out."
Yeah, no one really knows what the fuck is up with us.

Some of those points are the same points for Ingram. Didn't pad stats in the "Bad team's" games. Had his best games in the biggest games (VT, SCAR, LSU, Florida).

His downside was having a bad game in the next to last game, and being on a team with other good players, that he didn't get fed the ball for a shitload of TD's and yards (7 less carries averaged per game versus Toby, before today's game).

Well if it weren't for McCoy we definitely would have lost the game to A&M. He won that QB shootout. If the Nebraska game was ignored for McCoy and the Auburn game was ignored for Ingram ( muligans if you will ) then it is definitely between McCoy and Ingram for the heisman and its going to be close

What the fuck?

From a Q&A with Charlie Weis:
Q: Is it frustrating to you Pete Carroll, for example, portrayed in one way…
CW: Let me ask you this question: You guys know about things that go on in different places. Was I living with a grad student in Malibu, or was I living with my wife in my house? You could bet that if I were living with a grad student here in South Bend, it would be national news. He’s doing it in Malibu and it’s not national news. What’s the difference? I don’t understand. Why is it okay for one guy to do things like that, but for me, I’m scrutinized when I swear. I’m sorry for swearing; absolve my sins.

But what hurts, is the last thing the voters saw before they had to cast their votes, was the games this weekend. Ingram had a shot to attempt to redeem Auburn, and McCoy HAD his "Auburn" game. And Toby was at home watching other teams play, as his last game was a week ago.

Who wins, I don't know. I just know that Ingram got back into the discussion, McCoy lost a Sure Thing Heisman (to as even of a chance to get it as anyone else). The Heisman is going to be a total surprise award this year. First time in awhile.

I'd be MUCH less offended if Ingram won it than Colt. Colt doesn't deserve to be a finalist (maybe if heavily weigh punting stats).

Nah, Colt will still win just because he'll get more second place votes out west and 30% of votes were already turned in.

He shouldn't win, but c'est la vie.

Maybe we'll get a repeat of Bradfordish voting of last year? I have a glimmer of hope for Toby considering his nationally televised beatdown of Notre Dame in Weis' last game...

Why Toby? He doesn't have any national recognition. They have admitted its a beauty pageant. I'd rather have Suh win it than Toby cause I've at least seen him play and dominate people.

I'm beginning to feel like being a Pac 10 fan is like being an indie music fan.

That wouldn't make sense since Indie Music is the big thing right now. Its getting pushed onto the airwaves by bigger labels. Its more like being a underground hip-hop fan. Your peeps dont get the recognition and they do it better than everyone else. Sounds about right?

Sadly, it was too late, as Superman found out that, in fact, Little pieces of paper would turn out to be made out of Kryptonite.

Daaaaamn what a ending in the Texas game!(just saw the relive at work)

Kinda sucks for TCU and Cincy but Texas got screwed last year so they really deserve the shot.

And damn Bama was good against UF, too bad that Tebows last (important) game was probably one of his worst. And what a nice move to congratulate Bama after the game even though he was obviously devastated.

McElroy really played lights out, if he continues to improve like that he should be an Heisman candidate in a few years.

Sweet, McElroy's getting extra eligibility!

Bay bay is coming back next year!

TAMPA, Fla. – As Georgia Tech wide receiver Demaryius Thomas headed out of Raymond James Stadium to the team bus following the Jackets’ 39-34 win over Clemson in the Dr. Pepper ACC championship game, he answered one final very important question.

Yes, Thomas said with a huge grin, he’s coming back.

Apparently, the NFL can wait for at least one of the Jackets’ most talented juniors.

Really?

“I’m coming back,” Thomas repeated.

Damn FSU is recruiting a Gorilla to the team..

Just look at this guy.. He looks like Mighty Joe Young

He should be a big help to our crap defense.

Jay Sosa said:
Shit he's already a Junior? Why didn't they start him last year, he's way better than Parker Wilson..

And the curse of three names first continues for John Parker Wilson. Seriously though, JPW was a 3 year starter who, while I can't remember a game that he won for us last year, he didn't lose any games for us. He played very solidly and let our big O-line open up holes for the run. He was solid for us last year.

1. That's vaguely racist.

2. His shirt is on, there's no way you got that pic from an FSU website.

Nah, you can get pics of recruits/players with their shirts on from an FSU website, but they'll be pictures taken by another source. You'll never see the Warchant logo on a picture of a FSU recruit/player with their shirt on, and, if you do, the logo will be an obvious photoshop job.

Also: 1 kind of surprised me, too. Oo

this is lame. i'm getting all these plans together to go down to mobile, alabama to watch Central Michigan in the GMAC bowl, as I've posted here relentlessly. Finally we're supposed to get a sweet matchup.

Now all the projection places are having us taking on Middle Tennessee State. Sorry, but we bitchslaped those slapdicks 3 years ago and I'm not going to go to the other side of the country to watch my team play some sunbelt jackoff. ugh.

this is lame.

also, does Colt McCoy remind anyone else of JD from Friday Night LIghts? I'm just waiting for him to break down from his dads yelling/slapping him, call up a cheerleader and elope while quoting a bible verse about why sodomy is a sin.

God damn.

This is going to be the worst MNC game since last year.
Texas usually puts on a show in BCS games. They won't come out like they did against Nebraska.

right because bama just destroyed inferiors competition like Auburn and Tennesee.

Carroll's wife Glena (née Goranson) played indoor volleyball at the University of the Pacific.[79] Together they have three children, oldest son Brennan, middle daughter Jaime, and youngest son Nathan.[80] Through Brennan and his wife Amber, he has one grandchild, Dillon Brennan Carroll.[81][82] In following with his Motto of "Alway's Compete", Carroll recently applied this to his marriage, where he put his wife Glena to the test and moved into a Malibu home with his, USC Graduate Student, girlfriend.

Heisman:

1. Gerheart
2. McCoy
3. Spiller
4. Suh
5. Kellen Moore
6. Ingram

Just my opinion. I think McCoy is gonna win it as a make up for last year and because his team is undefeated and almost went undefeated last year as well. And I don't think he would be a bad choice.

But fair analysis IMO gives this to Gerheart. The difference? He has had 0 bad games this year. Zero. None. His low in efficiency was a 4.4 YPC average in one game (@ Arizona). Even when the rest of his team struggles, he excels. That defines dominance, at least this year.
