You mean 2010 Big East Champ and Tostitos™ Fiesta Bowl participant UConn vs. reigning Cy-Hawk Trophy holders Iowa State?

Plus, the fact that ISU's QB is named Steele Jantz makes it automatically worth watching.
This is the best thing I've read all night.

Glad we are only down 3 after that horrible start...

I heard these refs were spotted eating at the Boise IHOP with a major Bronco booster.
This is going to be CFB-Gaf's meme of the year, I do believe.

Woo Iowa State 3-0 in a crapfest of a game! I'll take the win, but we need to play well right away not late in the game.
Congrats on the win, I have a soft spot for ISU. Could a bowl game be in the offing?

Hope so, I would like to go again. Had a blast at the bowl in Arizona two years ago. We need every win we can get though. Hopefully we can beat Texas again.

Assuming Texas takes care of business in Pasadena tomorrow, it will be a big battle of undefeated conference foes in Ames in a couple weeks!

On the plus side, JCX isn't going to be drinking himself to death on Toldedo's account. So that's good, I suppose.

So, if we take the info of Syracuse and Pitt w/the ACC, what theories could this mean?

Texas planning to join the ACC with TTU, and those 2 teams and attempt to beat everyone to the 1st SuperConference?

ACC asking those 2 teams because up to 2 current ACC teams are looking into joining the SEC?

An Elaborate Ploy to force TCU to be stuck in another Non-AQ conference, once the Big East apparently falls apart because of the loss of 2 perennial powerhouses?

If Pitt and Cuse (LOL) go to the ACC, then the Big East will absorb the rest of the Big XII like Kansas, KSU, and ISU to stay at full strength.

But do you see this as the ACC attempting to grow larger, or attempting to replace members leaving?

Big East getting bust up will really ignite things. Notre Dame's other sports will be homeless, so they'll have to shack up with someone, and I don't think any major conference will let them in save for the Big XII, if that even exists at that point. That could spur ND to B1G, so they'll scramble for 1 or 3 more teams to balance things out.

I think it's the ACC growing larger in a move to prevent some members from being poached.

There are also rumors that Texas will go independent in football, and join the ACC for all other sports. Notre Dame was turned down a few years ago when they asked the ACC for this kind of deal, I don't know if the ACC is now desperate enough to do this for both Texas and Notre Dame.

I thought that SEC members planned to block the admission of schools from their own states? That pretty much leaves Virginia Tech.

I should just wait for the espn/hbo documentary about all of this. I read a really interesting article about Nebraska's path to the big ten. Made it out to almost sound like a spy movie.

That's the rumor, and it does make sense. VA Tech's name is out there. For some reason NC State has been mentioned. Who knows. I'm getting rather sick of it.

Think it's more a mixture of 3/4 ACC schools that SEC schools don't want (Clemson, FSU, GT/Miami), and not wanting to add a team that doesn't "increase the footprint." (Strangely, those same 4 teams)

So, I'd say the choices are: VT, Maryland, UNC, NCST, Duke, WF and Virginia.

Of those...yeah, VT is the easiest. Then I figure Maryland. Doubtful that "Tobacco Road" will budge.

Cuse hasn't been a good since McNabb. I think as long as WVU is in the Big East it will still be around. Our AD is basically the shadow commissioner.
