I was about to complain about the logo but...

The bat symbol being different from nolan's is a big deal I think. Separating the universe probably.

That's an ugly logo.

I'm actually pretty surprised at this, and that they announced it so early.

But please, get a better screenwriter than Goyer.

Logo is ugly but otherwise I'm excited. I just want to hear who get's cast as Batman(I would prefer if Bale stayed but I'll understand if he doesn't come back or isn't asked) and who the villain will be.

I don't think this will do better than Avengers but it will do close for sure.

Alright guys what's gonna gross more? The Avengers or this?

Avengers 2 v Batman/Superman?

Avengers 2 by a nose, assuming Marvel keeps up their shit in 2014. Iron Man 3's opening weekend vs MoS' proved their dominance.

They're both going to be annihilated by Episode VII though.

Batman and Superman in one universe always seemed ridiculous to me.

Superman would blow Batman's enemies too pieces in like 1 second.

Makes sense with Supes destroying half of Metropolis that Batman would see him as a serious threat, so Batman vs Supes movie? Wow, I'm legit excite.

I could see it not being focused on Batman at all, really playing up Batman as this pain in the ass, mysterious vigilante who shows up in flashes, and really playing up the fact that we all know he is Bruce Wayne but nobody in the movie does (until the end). Have scenes with clean cut, playboy Bruce dealing with Luthor and/or Lois, and later on that day Batman shows up looking dark and dingy.

If the Batman Logo remains the only critism, then we're good. I really think that they can do a good movie, even without Nolan and Bale.

BURBANK, CA, July 20, 2013 – On the heels of the worldwide success of “Man of Steel,” director Zack Snyderis bringing together the two greatest Super Heroes of all time—Batman and Superman—for the first time on the big screen. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution,Warner Bros. Pictures.

The current hit, “Man of Steel,” has taken in more than $630 million at the worldwide box office to date, and climbing. Along with its star, Henry Cavill, the upcomingfilm brings back Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. The new Batman has yet to be cast.

Snyder is co-writing the story with David S. Goyer, who will then pen the screenplay. Production is expected to begin in 2014, with an anticipated release date inSummer 2015.

Silverman stated, “Zack Snyder is an incredibly talented filmmaker, but beyond that, he’s a fan first and he utterly gets this genre. We could not think of anyone better suited to the task of bringing these iconic Super Heroes to the screen in his own way.” Kroll added, “We are thrilled to be back in business with Zack and his team on this next movie. The success of ‘Man of Steel’ is a wonderful testament to the love and support that both fans and new audiences, worldwide, have for these characters. We are very excited to see what Zack has in store for all of us.”

It doesn't seem too early for an announcement if it's really coming out in 2015.
I was not very confident in DC's ability to get a movie starring two superheroes out any time soon, hence the surprise.

Ugh, what did we do to deserve this yet again...

That Batman Logo is fucking dreadful but goddamn if I'm not hyped. Hope he tries to improve on Man of Steel cos while that movie wasn't bad it had lots of room for improvement.

I can't get it up for this one yet...No doubt will destroy the BO but idk what's going on with that batman logo. That's like an Adam West style logo...Almost too cartoony

Smart move for WB

Goyer's involvement deflates any excitement I would have for this. I want to be excited, but MoS pissed me off so much.

Let's see where they go for the story and villain though. And who will be bats.

Can't wait for this to come out just to read the most godawful, idiotic reasons for why they disliked the movie, if MoS is anything to go by.
