Well I have mixed feelings about this. I hope I can change that through more updates about the film.
I dug Man of Steel. I get the Goyer complaints, heck I have plenty myself. But I still am glad this is happening. They used a different Bat-logo so I think it's a pretty clear sign that it will be a different batman... not Bale, and again I am happy with that. He was fantastic but had his run.
oh ok good. I LOVED the movies but his design was atrocious. He looked like a giant square.

You guys should be rejoicing that DC is finally going to have a cinematic shared universe not being miserable over an announcement logo that everyone will have forgotten about in 6 months much less 2 years.
The sheer amount of negativity is kinda surprising. I've wanted a shared universe for a long time. Grounded/realistic Batman was nice for a while, but it is boring and disappointing that Nolan Batman faced a mortal version of Ra's Al Ghul, and that there was no way we'd ever see the Robins, Nightwing, Batgirl, etc. This should be the start of a series much more true to the comics. I'm hyped.

See that's fine but they will more than likely use Darkseid for JL or any number of JL centered villians (Starro, Despero, Amazo, Kanjar Ro)
If this is true, it's interesting that they are going a completely different route from Marvel, where there are stand-alone and team-up movies, although for DC it does make a ton of sense
I bet Flash will have a bunch of cameos

i don't read comics but the Bat was probably the least interesting thing in all the nolan movies. all his scenes could have been cut in the third one.
supes never convinced me as a character, again i don't read the comics.

On that note though, I really hope they don't show Batman beating up Superman. Just...no, please.
Hopefully they team up against Lex though. Batman can do the sneaking, Supes does the hitting.

Major upgrade for DC.
His plans worked to defeat all the JL. He's beat Darkseid. Which means his plans worked.
Wanted a Batman/Superman movie for awhile. It should be pretty good. Snyder can work with making characters grounded in reality stick out when standing next to what are essentially gods. I think Snyder is a good director. He's miles ahead of everyone making a superhero movie right now aside from Edgar Wright.

Anyways, a World's Finest movie, a Public Enemies movie, a Dark Knight Returns movie (which would be kind of redundant, since the animated adaptation is almost perfect), a Kingdom Come movie...I'd be down for any of that.
They'd probably have to bump up Bats to Captain America-level agility (or even Adrian Veidt-level) in order for the movie to work, the Nolan-verse version is way too slow to fight meta-villains.

I don't think this is work. Dark edgey Supes with dark edgey Bats takes away from the relationship they had. Supes tries to make Bruce more human where Bruce tries to make Supes be more like him and finish everything.
After watching Dredd, I think he'd make a pretty good Batman. Not really sure about Bruce though.
They would probably show it in the trailer to get the hype going. I mean they already read the famous line when Batman beats the shit out of Superman.
