Because it's obviously tongue n cheek.Thrown in after the movie is over, and had no bearing on the plot.
Neither did the kiss.
You're arbitrarily deciding one counts and one doesn't.

'Man of Steel 3: Is he going to die?'
Alright, this has at least partially got to be an adaption of Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, right?

Man of Steel spoilers?
- They have to introduce
.Kryptonite- They have to introduce a reason for Batman to go globe trotting.
- They have to introduce a root cause for the rivalry.
Here's my treatment of the story:
Following Man of Steel,, and Lex Luthor decides to foot the bill for repairs. He gains public standing, and starts a campaign against Superman. With a team of scientists, whilst repairing the partiallyMetropolis is mostly ashMetropolis and the researchingteraformedhe discovers a small quantity of a substance from Krypton, Kryptonite. It is theorized (McGuffin, I know) that materials from Superman's homeworld might be the only thing able to cause him harm, as that was certainly the caseIndian Ocean, where the Second World Engine was.with the fellow aliens
Cue Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, with everything other than hope. I'm hesitant to spoil the story, but basically.Lex Luthor brings up the threat of Superman to Bruce Wayne, who he knows to be Batman (due to being a genius, and knowing Bruce Wayne as a business partner). Like the graphic novel, this wouldn't be overt. He gives Batman the substance, and Batman performs his own tests and tries to subdue Superman. Big fight, with Batman using Kryptonite to even the odds, and Batman eventually loses
The finale would be a team up, to stop some nefarious plan by Luthor, of course. Then Braniac or Doomsday would be left for 'Man of Steel 3: Is he going to die?'
I can't see this movie happening without Luthor.
People think Avatar 2 will be bigger than some of these superhero blockbusters and Star Wars?? I think it will be big, but I really wonder if Avatar 2 will even reach $1 billion BO since the 3d is now a known quantity and the fact that it could actually have competition. If I recall, Avatar opened during a holiday season without a major blockbuster presence and it was one of the first films to feature 3d in many theaters; I believe it succeeded partly because it existed in a vacuum devoid of those experiences at the time. Can Avatar 2 really do $2 billion again if it is being released alongside/shortly after movies such as Star Wars, Marvel, and Batman/Superman? I highly doubt it.
That would imply that Nerd the dollar is going away.
Its been how many years now? And the nerd dollar is still here?

I think we'll definitely see his personality fleshed out more. His interaction with Batman is what got in interested in him in the first place. Superman from the Justice League/World's Finest cartoon is my favorite Supes.depends on what you prefer. rather see Supes's world fleshed out more than a team up.
Yes, But Not Warner and Disney. Because Warner and Disney. That's not the nerd dollar at all.
The nerd dollar is responsible for Scott Pilgrim, and Serenity.
Nerds are like a 30-40mil ceiling.
General audiences like big action movies. Whether they're superheroes, or spies, or science-fiction starfighters. That's not the "nerd" dollar, anymore than "Star Wars" is the "nerd" dollar, or James Bond is the "nerd" dollar.
Nerds are cheap. They certainly can't be counted on to float, by themselves. budgets north of 200 million. And sooner rather than later, those budgets are going to go belly-up, and it might take a few studios with them.
Metropolis was not mostly ash at the end of that fight... There was a huge piece in the center that was clearly decimated, but when they were flying around, there were plenty of sections that were completely untouched.Alright, this has at least partially got to be an adaption of Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, right?

They could handle like they did in the cartoon so they don't waste time with Batman origins (again). In the Superman: The Animated Series (or the Superman/Batman movie), it was assumed that the viewer already knew Batman's backstory.
Plus, if there are people who still don't know who Batman is, have an awesome scene like this.

I hope Nolan is dead by the time they start getting things going.
You know who else did bad things regardless of if the hero existed or not? The Green Goblin.Huh, it's funny how both The Avengers and Man of Steel both had the bad guy target Earth only because a superhero was there. Loki targeted Earth because he's got a grudge with Thor and Thor spent some time on Earth, Zod targeted Earth because dumbass Jor-El sent the codex here with his baby instead of just destroying it. It's stupid, because what's the point of Superheroes saving people if their existence causes things to go wrong in the first place?
In the first Superman movie, Lex Luthor would have done evil stuff whether or not Superman existed, and Superman stopped most of that evil stuff from happening. Imagine if Lex Luthor decided to nuke California only because he hated Superman?
Haha! What? Is that from Rises?
Parts of Gaf really do hate everything. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read in any forum ever!
Yup, from the ending too and it never ceases to bother me. BE HAPPIER OFFICER.Haha! What? Is that from Rises?

Spider-Man 2 also wins. Yeah, Doc Ock exists only because Spider-Man saved his life, but that's forgiven because Spider-Man was kinda busy also stopping New York from blowing up.You know who else did bad things regardless of if the hero existed or not? The Green Goblin.
Spider-Man wins again.
Such is the case for every superhero crossover story ever. lolDont see how they are going to spin it being in the MoS continuity
There was a world scale event(MoS) and Batman sat on the sidelines but now he is going to come onto the scene for small time stuff.
Doesnt sit well with me.
Theyre going to be rebooting Batman anyway. How do we even know Batman even existed during the events of MOS?Dont see how they are going to spin it being in the MoS continuity

Bat-GAF's back in business!

You are a bitter person. He is exec producing this and directing interstellar.I don't man physically dead. I would say artistically, but that already happened.
I guess I should have said retired instead.
