Its not a Sony owned thing. Its a third party online only magazine publication. Say Gametrailers wanted to release an online only video magazine on PSN, they would control the price, features and creative content, but it would be up to you to decide whether you want to pay for it.

Not quite true. Yes, this is produced by Future, but it's produced by Future for Sony. I don't have the quote on me, I can't be arsed to dig it out, but in a podcast released right when Qore was announced, one of the team was talking about how unlike with official magazines, Qore's final editorial line goes back to Sony.

I'm glad they finally decided to offer a free episode of Qore. I hadn't purchased any previous episodes, because I wasn't sure whether it would be worth getting. Ever since the beginning, I always thought they should have offered at least one episode for free so people could get an idea of what it was all about.
