Coming to PS4 in 2017 trailer

I think it speaks more about what the video DOESNT show.

Spider-Man, God of War, Days Gone all MIA

It's likely these titles aren't coming in 2017 but than again the video messed quite a few labels regarding a few of the games exclusivity status. The video also outright states some of the exclusives in 2017. Also worth noting games like Matterfall, Dreams, and Detroit are SIEE titles while the 3 games you mentioned all fall under SIEA

To be honest this video just confirmed to me how most of the games I'm looking forward too are still waaay off (God of War, Spider-Man, Death Stranding, Days Gone, Final Fantasy VII remake)

Not that I expected many of them in 2017

The PS blog says that for several games or DLC that actually aren't exclusive. Cf Helldivers for example.

Nah, it's a PS4 exclusive. That has been the messaging and it continues to be, especially now that Sony is publishing it in the West and Asia.

I'm getting it on PS4 day 1, but the messaging has always been pretty muddled with Sony and their third party exclusives. PSX 2015, again, is actually the only event that was coherent so far. They've been a bit worse again since, but they were a lot worse before that. Nothing new there.

Is Dreams PSVR only? :)

I'm buying it day one :)

No, and I'm still not too confident it will support VR, the only confirmation is Alex Evans sort of jokingly tweeting it, but that could always change.

Is there any gameplay of Matterfall? Or what type of gameplay is it?

Every fucking PR from Koei since Nioh re-reveal says "PS4 exclusive" even before Sony deal for western markets.
But for some reason people keep taking seriously the mess they did with the trailers decals on PSX 2015.

Great line-up. Yakuza Kiwami is also coming out in summer iirc.

So God of War seems inevitably a 2018 title. Bummer.

These are probably just all the locks. Shu said in an "interview" with Kinda Funny that they're aware of the "Soony" thing this gen and try to be smarter about release dates. That's also why the release dates were so vague at E3.

Because some these games are pretty much confirmed to be 2017 while the other games could slip into Q1/2 of 2018??

Yep.

Nobody's gonna say "wait, game is coming out this year? Why wasn't it in that video at the beginning of the year". They'll complain if it was in it and got delayed, however.

Lmao they had it the wrong way.

Suprised to see many people hyped for Detroit, Beyond was a travesty of a "game".

Beyond was mediocre as hell but Heavy Rain rocked, and what we've seen and heard about Detroit is far more evocative of the latter than the former, from the detective elements to the return of an open-ended perma-death story structure. I have my fingers crossed.

Just a few weeks until the Gravity Rush 2, Resident Evil 7, Yakuza 0 onslaught!

SCEE should release Gravity Rush 2 on Tuesday 17th to space the game a bit more.

Really hope Days Gone makes it this year, that being said - even if it doesn't, 2017 is looking to be a hell of a year for gaming.

I do hope Detroit hits this year, seeing as everything I care about sans Red Dead is coming in the first half

Also lol @ anyone who excepted Spider-Man in 2017

Detroit seems like a prime 2017 game to me, it will have been in development for 4 years - that's more then enough time for the type of game it is.

I thought it was alright. Basically decent to mediocre.

Either way, Heavy Rain, the game that Detroit seems more similar to in terms of the style it is evolving from, was awesome.

For sure:
Horizon zero Dawn
Gravity Rush 2
Wip3out Omega Collection
Dreams

Probably, depending on time and funds:
Persona 5
Nier
Detroit
Hellblade

Maybe, depending on funds and reviews
Nioh (and if has a "non-crushing " difficulty)
Knack 2

If you add Ni No Kuni 2, KH 2.8 and a few other third parties (and non exclusive ones) ... It's going to be a hella expensive year.

I doubt this video is any confirmation that nothing among Spider-Man, God of War and Days Gone is coming in 2017.

Let's say for fun Spider-Man is currently scheduled for Q4 2017 at Sony, Marvel and Insomniac. Firstly, it's very likely they would remain cautious because it's too eary to be sure they will finish the game in time, and secondly, you have to keep some tasty release date announcement for E3.

There is no way those games would be so casually confirmed for 2017 in such video.

Nice list. Hopefully they will be able to add another 1st party game to the holiday lineup.

GT Sport
Hellblade
Drawn to Death
NieR: Automata
Detroit: Become Human
Yakuza 0
Farpoint [PSVR]
Uncharte4d The Lost Legacy
Matterfall
Gravity Rush 2
Wipeout: The Omega Collection
MLB The Show 17
Everybodys Golf
Dreams
Pyre
Persona 5
NiOh
World of Warlords
Nex Machina
Knack 2
PaRrapaThe Rapper
Starblood Arena [PSVR]

Neither Xbox or PS4 had a great 1st party lineup this year for me , so hopefully it's indies and third parties come out with some great stuff .
