Command & Conquer still using a fake ID to buy Alcohol this month

I found the solution for getting Tiberium Sun to run on Windows 10.

Follow these steps.

1. go to http://tore.cnc-comm.com/
2. download the TS_Win8fix.zip
3. Unzip, and copy the files to the game folder (where Game.exe is)
4. Start the game and everything should work fine

I'm playing though the series and this was the only one that did not work on Windows 10 right off the bat. All the others are fine.

Is there no GUI launcher or configuration tool available for TS or RA2?

I installed Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert a couple of days ago and both have tools to make them work better on modern systems. Tiberian Dawn has the 1.06 unofficial patch and Red Alert has PortableRA.

You probably ought to manually change the resolution in TS and RA2 via .ini editing. They can both scale to practically any resolution as the interface was built to be very scaleable, although in my experience the game performance suffers a lot if you play in very high resolutions like 720p and higher (probably even lower than that). Especially in Tiberian Sun the game slows to a crawl whenever you start constructing or training something in the sidebar at high resolutions.

Personally I stick with resolutions that are close to what was common in the late 90's, both for the sake of performance in Tiberian Sun but also because I dislike how much bigger the view gets and how small the graphics become. But I make sure to use resolutions that are 16:9 in ratio so it doesn't get too horizontally stretched. I use this chart as a reference:

Guys does anyone know if there is some way to get the older titles, RA2 and/or tiberium sun to run on mac? Without the need to boot camp windows?

Also as a bonus here is a really old pre-release interview about the game with lead designer (and also writer I believe) Eydie Laramore:

Red Alert was the only one I ever played but I loved it. Many fond memories of that game and to this day I still regard it as one of the hardest games I completed.
