Common food items that taste nasty to you

Raisins and sultanas, there's just some weird taste in them that tastes really strong to me. Currants on the other hand are fine, and I love grapes.

Peas, but only now that I'm pregnant. Even the smell makes me gag.

Aniseed or anything aniseed tasting, coriander seeds (despite liking coriander), liquorice, and some other bits and bobs all seem to be in the same family for me too, like they just taste unpleasantly strong and overpower anything else I'm eating.

Mayonnaise. I can only eat it if it's disguised well. A light amount in potato/macaroni salad, etc.

Slathering it on a sandwich or burger though? YUCK.

Tomatoes are sickening.

How can anyone find this appetizing?

Mentioned a whole lot already, but ketchup and mayo.

Mayo at least has some culinary uses, and I can handle it in some recipes and as a salad dressing (pasta/potato/etc) as long as it's not used too liberally.

Ketchup on the other hand. I don't even buy it. I don't understand how people can eat it. It's just tomato-flavored sugar paste.

Anything that I would ever put mayo or ketchup on I'll go with a good quality, whole grain mustard every time.

Aside from that PUMPKIN flavored anything. Pumpkin pie in particular. Just the smell of it makes me gag a little bit. It feels like I have something wrong with me that so many people like the taste of it.

I have one my entire family cant understand is cheescake. Hate it.

But..

Onions, mushrooms, pickles, mustard, watermelon, cannelop. I dont like D:

Artichokes, boiled vegetables of any kind, escargots, mussels. Mayonnaise, vinegar and anything kinda sour (onion spice is fine). Tried curry a month ago and it blows.

Coffee tastes like burnt stone.

No, it actually tastes like soily water.

Nearly all vegetables make me want to throw up.

If i find vegetables in any of my meals i will completely disassemble my meal to get rid of it.

I love onions, but the after taste makes me reconsider using it often when I'm cooking.

Also, anything garlic heavy upsets my stomach and makes me feel like shit. I can deal with a bit, but half of every recipe I see these days include a shit ton of garlic.

ketchup is fucking gross

let me expand on this

okay you have salty delicious french fries

okay let me dip them into ketchup

BOOM IT TASTES LIKE KETCHUP

ketchup literally masks the taste of everything

shit is gross

can we stop the charades of "enjoying" ketchup

I can't do raw tomatoes. The taste is fine, just the texture doesn't do much for me. If I want contrast in a burger or something, I'd prefer lettuce or mushrooms. I enjoy them cooked and as an ingredient in dishes though. I love pasta.

Y'all saying you can't eat onions are insane. One of the best staple ingredients ever.

Shut your filthy mouth.

This thread is making me want to eat a raw onion with tomatoes on the side.

I think the only common food I don't like is mushrooms. Partly texture, partly that weird permeating taste, partly ick factor of eating fungus. I've gotten really good at spotting and removing mushrooms, even when they're shredded and mixed in.

Always get weird reactions from everyone for saying this, but living in California and online handle being taco, I've always hated avocados and not a fan of guacamole either because of it as well.
