Common foods you won't eat.

i don't eat pork. but i have had turkey bacon (are they similar?) and yeah i didn't get the hype...until i had it crispy. that's that shit i do like with eggs.

No, they are not similar at all. Turkey bacon is disgusting. Real bacon is... the opposite.

The older I get, the more I find myself disliking things that are sweet (unless they're desserts). I don't like sauces that have sweetness to them. Apart from that, I will eat pretty much anything you can think of.

Most unmelted cheese, some is alright on a cracker but mostly not. Don't ask me why its fine melted :P
Warm vegetables/fruit in the middle of other stuff, just ruins it. I can eat peas on the side but the minute you bother throwing them into the middle of the mince, it just puts me off.
Tuna reeks, and I don't even want to give it a chance.
I don't really know what mayonnaise is but I don't want it.
Mashed potatoes, what's the point in ruining perfectly fine potatoes by giving them a shitty, clumpy texture.

Bread/wheat/pasta, milk (though I will put a cream in my coffee if it's all that is available). I avoid fast food unless it is literally the only thing available. Candy, aside from dark chocolate, if that even counts. Though I have a bit of a sweet tooth and sometimes sweet cheat, usually regretting it later.

Macaroni salad. Cold pasta is gross.

I don't eat Seafood, Eggs, Pizza, Hotdogs, Tomatoes, Avocado. I also cannot stand Salt on anything, keep that shit off my food and learn how to cook instead of masking it in this disgusting shit.

Salt does not mask anything. It's used to enhance flavor. Underseasoned food is terrible. You can't make a good steak without salt.

Natto.

Yeah, that shit is fucking horrible.

But I'd say that's not a common food for most people not in Japan.. and even then.

tomatoes, celery, peas, beans, green/yellow/red peppers, cauliflower

unfortunately I eat these on a regular basis because my mom makes them for dinner :/

Fuck Avacado, and Watermelon is the worst fruit ever.

I'm with you man on the watermelon. I don't mind the taste of it but I loathe the seeds, anytime I have tried to get a seedless one it is never seedless...

Used to hate Avacado as well but then I tried some really amazing guacamole and it changed my life.

Watermelon and cucumber. Think I'm slightly allergic to both, as they make my throat itchy and constricted. Evidently this is common in people with ragweed allergies, which I have.

Seafood, hot dogs, pizzas, sushis, mushrooms, most cheese, salad, etc.

There is a lot of stuff I eat, but also a lot I don't. I need to stop being so difficult.

Milk, grilled chicken, cauliflower, zucchini. I like dairy in general and I don't mind some types of chicken (teriyaki bake, steamed, fried) but grilled chicken breasts make me sick to my stomach and the texture of milk is vomit-inducing.

Pickles. They taste like shit and ruin buns and fries even if you don't eat them. If you like pickles I hate you and hope you die and take all the pickles with you.

Garlic, unmelted cheese (except parmesan and mozzarella) and ham (except raw ham). As a result, I'm no fan of sandwiches.

I love most of the things people are listing here.

My most hated common food item is guacamole. I hate avacado, I think it tastes like gloopy snot. I thought it was good once but that was when I was in California and it was super fresh and light. I will never get it anywhere that has just a container of the stuff in back.

Oh and I find milk disgusting. Almond milk is my savior.

Bananas, Eggs (unless "hidden" like in baked goods) and Tofu. All crap my parents made me eat constantly as a kid. Just gave it that much longer to develop a taste aversion.

Mushrooms (I'll take em in some forms, like cream and when they're raw in a salad), generally the texture on most mushrooms is enough to make me gag on the spot, combined with their weird not quite bitter not quite salty not quite sweet taste they freak me out. It's a real shame because a lot of great dishes feature mushrooms. I don't mind the taste of mushroom being a presence but biting a mushroom itself gives me the heebs.

Fruit Yogurts. Straight up disgusting I can't handle this shit.

I'm also some what weird with sour cream. I look at it and smell it, which makes me imagine what it will taste like but then I actually remember it tastes better than it smells when it's in the container.

Got it from my Dad raising me, but I dislike white sauces/foods that are sour or mayoish.

Examples:
Mayo
Sour Cream
Cottage Cheese
Feta Cheese
Cream Cheese
Cheese Cake
Creme Fraiche
Buttermilk

It bugs me when someone tells someone else about my rule and they are like "hurr hurr you don't like ice cream? How about whipped cream? Frosting?"

My husband is the same with a lot of white sauces. I also don't like mayo. It's so gross!

I won't eat veal, but that's for ethical reasons.

It's interesting to see you post this, because I have a really similar issue myself. Tzatziki sauce, and most yogurts in general, are also things that I've struggled with. I always try to be open minded about trying new kinds of foods so having this mental block can be frustrating for me.

Yeah, I'm trying to branch out more. I have greatly broadened my selection of cheeses and I eat most kinds of fried sushi that have mayo. I eat pitas with Tzatziki but I still scrape off as much as possible.

I don't at all understand my hatred of mayo and have tried numerous times to eat it. It sounds perfect: mixing oil and egg, two of my favorite cooking ingredients. It also bugs me when every single fast food place has a dumb name for their mayo sauce because they colored it.

Pie, Liver, Beef, Chocolate, most sweets, Lamb, Quiche, Seafood, scrambled eggs/omlet/most pure egg food, tomatoes, celery, relish, lettuce, beans (any kind), onions, pickles, Pork, ham if it has darker bits on it, and much much more.

I can't eat mushrooms unless they're in the dish. But everything else I enjoy. Anywhere from Greek to Indian to Japanese.

The only things I probably don't eat are things like cow's tongue or liver.

I love vegetables. I can put a whole avocado in between two slices of bread and eat it like a sandwich. Its so good. I love to pick fresh asparagus and eat it raw.

I have a thing about foods that are usually eaten hot being eaten cold. Weirdly with Pizza it's not an issue. But when I see someone eating a cold pasta salad? It kinda grosses me out. Or cold potatoes in salad etc.
