So Conan had a big "Berlin" special and I'm sure many of you have seen parts of it already. The Dominatrix bit was pretty amazing. However, he also visited Berlin Tempelhof, an old airport building used to house Refugees. It's nothing earth-shattering, but I believe that showing these very normal interactions goes a long way, especially because certain politicians like to paint Germany as some hellhole overrun by pillaging refugees. I thought it was a really nice clip in the middle of his otherwise plain hilarious skits:

I mean, he's totally unqualified, but he's more thoughtful and better-informed than Trump. I'm sure Andy would make a fine Vice President. O'Brien/Richter 2020. Maybe Norm Macdonald as press secretary. I'm on board.

Great segment, and great that that's something they chose to do with their time in Berlin. They could have just as easily done some other touristy thing.

This was great. I don't see Conan go serious often, but it's clear that he's a thoughtful and considerate guy. Further proof that he should have the best travel show on the planet.

Everything I've heard about his interactions with people in the real world makes him seem like a class act, and extremely grateful to his fans. He was too good for network TV :(

not trying to be rude or anything, but that's the third thread I've seen about one segment of the Berlin special. Wouldn't it be easier to have one discussion thread for the whole special? Unless we already have one of those too

Conan understands the concept of human decency, so he is already much more qualified than the totally unqualified one

My selfish self wants Conan to continue providing four hours of content on a weekly basis for years to come, but it's becoming more and more evident that the world needs him more than us late night TV viewers. Perhaps it's time for Conan to make the inevitable jump to a weekly travel show and bring the planet together.

Great video
Conan <3

This one deserved a thread over all the others imo

Well there is that video where he takes his assistant Sona to visit the site of the Armenian Genocide. He's a very thoughtful human being who is also capable of looking like a puppet struggling to cut its strings.

The segments haven't been posted at the same time, and each time a new one shows up, it's consistently great and threadworthy. But I get your point, it can feel repetitive if you don't care about it.

Its not going to work if you only show military aged males tho. Conan is a great guy and I think he just wanted to go there and meet the people living as refugees .

New news. New thread.

hahah that mustache guy at the very end when they were playing badmitten had me laughing hard.

really cool segment. much love to these refugees.

Oh, I'm not saying it never happens, just that this was a (good) change of pace after he "learned" Bavarian dancing, made sausage, was willfully abused by a dominatrix, drove on the Autobahn, visited a nude beach, and drove an old East German car.

Spending time with refugees and tying it to the Western aid to the people of West Berlin was very well done.

Conan is my favorite late night host by far. I watch every episode of his show.

But Jimmy Fallon appeals to a larger audience because he gets more famous guests because its the Tonight Show. And he does the little game shows/games/singing stuff on his shows that most people love to watch.

Jimmy Kimmel also kinda has this but not as much.

One thing I enjoy the most out of Conan is that he plays with his audience. Makes me enjoy watching his show more.

I love Conan so much. He was the only talk show host I liked growing up. I have such fond memories staying up to watch Late Night. I wish they could release some crazy boxset compilation of his 16 year run on that show. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

lets not forget about how much looks play a role in success. And Fallon is probably considered the better looking person out of the late night hosts.

The scene with his assistant in Armenia at the memorial brought out the feels.

Makes me sad that Conan's rating are below Fallon, Corden, and Colbert when he's a thousand times the host any of them are

Great segment, love Conan. Nice to see him bring some positive attention to the plight of these refugees amid all the right-wing scare tactics.

Nah, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog should be his press secretary/campaign spokespersondog.
