Confirmed: Haze Never Coming Out on Xbox 360

Possible future:

The game sells millions of copies and then Ubisoft decides to port it for moar monies.

By the end of this generation we are going to be able to count the number of 'true' third party exclusives for consoles on both hands.

Haze will not be among them.

I still call bullshit. I find it hard to believe that they'd completely scrap 2 or so years of game development especially when that version was the first to be publicly shown. I remember the head of Haze development confirming the existence of the Xbox 360 version in the middle of last year during UBI days :lol

That's true, although comparing the two platforms and what we know of the planned 08 line-up, the PS3 seems to be leading the FPS race with some margin.

That I can agree with. Before this whole circus even started, I was actually mostly anticipating the PC version of Haze.

you got Resistance 2, Killzone 2, BattleField Bad Company, BIA: Hell's Highway, Left4Dead and Far Cry 2 for your FPS fix. all of those games show more promise than this generic lame game.

I know dood, it's so freaking ridiculous that people play FPS on console. Hell, why the fuck would you play an FPS in the first place? The definitive FPS is in real life. Stop wasting all your god damn time and pick up a gun and join the military.

I think the game had potential based on the devs and in general the gameplay looks to be solid for the most part based on older vids. Stuff that turned me off the game are the Korn ads, the "THEN I SWITCHED SIDES Y'ALL" ads, and pretty much how much they played up they did of the whole nectar/different side aspects of the game like it will really be unique.
 
For a game that so many posters claim to not give a shit about, it's kinda funny to see it usher in a torrent of bitterness. Funny, yet also sad.
 
So is there an official release date yet? One thing I hope they do is fix the way rebels set traps. The first video I saw, you'd bury a trap even if you were on a concrete floor or metal grate. Kind of silly, but this game will make a nice appetizer before Resistance 2 and Killzone 2.:D

What kind of logic is this?Did you played ANY of those games yet? This Haze hate is getting annoying .
 
Didn't Peter Dille, SCEA's Senior Vice President of Marketing just say in an interview in the March EGM that the game is a timed exclusive?

I'm kind of leaning toward believing a VP of Sony then two anonymous "reps" from a website I've never heard of.
 
personally i think the game looks shitty, but because Free Radical is pure awesome i am rooting for this game to be great......

it is going to be nice playing an FPS on a system i am not worried about blowing up on me.
 
i'm going to play through this game one day. it may be 2 years from now but it'll happen.

but what i don't get is the folks saying, "oh now it's cool to hate on Haze." or, "the bitter tears, blah, blah, blah"......

am i the only one that remembers the old Haze threads? you know, the ones where mostly nobody gave a shit about it? i don't know if it's deserved because the game looks ok but hate for Haze is old news. it has nothing to do with it being an exclusive. i mean, really.....the only time we bring Haze up is when discussing whether or not it's going to be multi-plat. really. think about it. this game had decent hype here for all of a week or so and then nobody gave a shit, we all just went and played Halo or Uncharted. people don't give a shit now because people didn't give a shit then. but i do see some new love for it. i doubt it's because of the exclusive confirmation though.....right? naahhh
 
On one hand it's Free Radical and that's a good thing. On the other it is also Haze and that's in eternal "I dunno" Land until it comes out. Also: Fanboys lol
