He seems really reserved about criticizing it considering he's worked with Microsoft somewhat closely to make sure the character is true to form. He was optimistic about the series going forward after the Project Spark DLC at least, and then, well... this.

One tech demo that doesn't get me interested in hololense. Not sure of who the developers that worked on this, but they need to get better art designers. Character model is pretty bad considering that Conker is a well designed mascot character. I dont expect much from tech demos, or spinoffs for devices that arent core, but this still makes me twitch a bit.

Ill keep waiting for Conker on Xbox and or PC. At least Conker's Big Reuinion was true to Conker, but we are still waiting for a full Conker game.

The redesign is so baffling, especially when the mad scientist weasel shows up in the video looking similar to how he did in BFD. Dont understand why they couldnt just reuse the project Sparks model or something.

Its so weird to put in the effort for whats mostly a tech demo where the other assets look fairly simple. Maybe the huge, wide head makes his expressions easier to read from a distance or above? It still looks hideous regardless.

Some people are taking this way to seriously. This is just a proof of concept to show how the tech works and so devs can look at the APIs and stuff like that. Calm down.

Anyway, the tech seems really, really interesting. Obviously not ready for mass market but it's s great starting point.

I just don't understand why they are doing this. This is not how Conker should be handled. Come on Phil Spencer why are you letting this go on? How hard can it really be to make a traditional 3D Conker Platformer? I'd really applaud MS for at least trying that..... but not like this.

That being said, I wasn't excited one bit when the stuff a out Young Conker leaked. Had absolutely zero expectations. I learned from last time.

Depends on what "people" you consider. The whole Conker thing was an initiative from Team Dakota, and regular Spark creators were delighted by the assets that it provided for their own creations. The fact that other people expected a full Conker game out of it is something that wasn't really advertised or (realistically) expected. The whole point of Project Spark is "make your own game, or play someone else's".

Cool idea, obviously a hardworking passionate team. They just really didn't need to use Conker. If you wanted name brand recognition, choose someone else from Rare's staple of characters. Or if you wanted Conker, at least make him his original design.

At least FF has Next Level Games working on it and is actually a retail title.

This just looks like a low-budget project that someone up top decided to shoehorn a random IP in through one of the most embarrassingly ways imaginable. They couldn't even be bothered to even use something that at least remotely resembled Conker and made this thing that looks like Awesome Possum wearing Conker's skin.

Unless, as I already said, this is just a huge elaborate joke on the developers' part and they're just massively screwing with the fans.

I hope it's the latter scenario.

It's a tech demo for developers. Basically a proof of concept. You'll probably never play it unless you buy the kit for 3K.
