• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2 announced for PS4/Steam. Coming out 2016.

Day 1, definitely the best of its genre and post-launch support has been the BEST.

I saw a teaser for it before, but I forgot an announcement was coming up today.

Looking forward to more Gaffers in emails!

I almost pulled the trigger on the first one when it went on sale on steam. Glad I didn't now. This sequel seems to expand on it quiet a lot. Really looking forward to it. And so glad I have the option to buy on ps4 too.

yessss!

Chubs please tune the grind curve a bit, I always stop somewhere around 2-3 stars, it's just too grindy around there.

As much as I love the game, I'd have to agree with this. I always end up completing all the star objectives fairly quickly, and then end up just having to grind out the last 10-12 days. I think the lack of any way to really "lose" is what really got to me after a while. While the order-to-order stuff is tense, there's never any worry about going out of business or anything, just a loss of buzz.

yes, this is another problem, there's never any real sense of 'danger', no threat of a cascade spiral etc.

hopefully it comes to XBO, would love to give it a try, seems like my type of game.

Will definitely consider other platforms after the Steam/PS4 release!

by the way chubs you need to team up with ausGaffer Kritz! He's got something in the restaurant pipeline too iirc

Ooh, is it that Battle Chef game?

yessss!

Absolutely, the whole "grind" thing was one of my most top priorities in fixing this time around. That's one of the big reasons I have a crazy amount of foods...it allows for a ton of extra events, challenges, unlocks, etc.

Chubs pls put chilean hot dogs ("completo italiano") in the menu thx <3

just realized Italian Hot Dogs are a jersey thing lol, had to rewrite that

Whoa those look crazy! Hmmm...

You should read the Playstation forums. I advise no indie dev ever go there to see feedback at all.

Yeah, but at least all the hateful comments are easy enough to brush off...I mean, I didn't expect a cooking game to go over well with everyone, hah.

I'm hungry now, but no dry rub?

*makes notes*

Chubs, please tell me poutine has made it to the game in some form. Make that announcement.

Even if it's just an option for adding gravy and cheese curds to fries instead of its own dish with its own varieties.

At first I was thinking something from Bizarre Foods America, but according to his instagram, it's a popular street food in Taiwan.

Or try something unique like congealed pig's blood on a stick, a popular street food in Taiwan

I know it's a super super long stretch, but is there a chance perhaps you can team up with FanGamer and do a limited edition 500-unit pressing like Retro City Rampage got on PS4?

I think it can help with exposition to the game and add a bit of an aura to the release itself that might leverage it close to release.

I assume that if RCR went through with it, the profit margins would probably be super low for those copies but the exposition more than makes up for it, no?

Man I'd love to do that, I'll research more about it as I get closer to release.

Great news! I showed this game to a friend and she loved it. I almost feel bad because I bought it fairly cheap in a steam's sale.
Looking forward to it. Simple and addictive.

Aw man, just look at that food. My wife is going to be out of her mind for this game. Just the other day she was telling me how much she feels like she's playing CSD during dinner rush.
