Cops beat down woman in IHOP

Straight from an IHOP in the city of Hotlanta... I'm not sure punching people in the face is a typical police strategy for restraining a woman, but this guy seems to be a champ at it:

Wow. I can think of tonnes of special interest groups that are going to have a fucking field day with this.

What're the details surrounding the incident? Aside from her interfering with an arrest and assaulting a police officer, I mean.

He really blew up and went over the line there.
 
Wow...crazy. I think the first thing he threw was like a half slap and a punch. He had it looked like two fingers out but crazy, she looked like she just put her hand on him to talk to him and he just halls of and strikes her. Nuts.
 
I doubt someone will come into this thread thinking: "please don't be black, please don't be black" :p Somehow raging cops are always white (or are they?)

While I feel that the cop was not being professional, I don't feel bad for the woman whatsoever.
 
tbh, he smashed her in the face when his partner had her arm and she couldn't defend herself, then had trouble taking her down, cop is a little bitch

Yeah, she was definitely an idiot too. Can't say I feel bad for her, but I think the cop who punched her should've just let the officer who was closer to her deal with her.

He would've been fine if he just held his composure and worked at it a bit longer in restraining her.
 
If I've learned anything in my days as a angry youth living in the hood, it's if officers are making an arrest it's generally not a good idea to punch and try to claw their eyes out. They kind of frown upon that and may resort to tazing, pepper spray, or (my favorite) "sweeping the leg" if you're a woman. Apparently no room in a crowded restaurant to do that, so a ground confrontation is acceptable.

BTW I'm sure her attempting to gouge his eyes out after her repeatedly interfering with the arrest is NO EXCUSE for him hauling her to the ground. Of course.
 
She was interfering with arrest, so he pushes her away. Fair game. She swings at him, so he swings back. Fair game. He did nothing wrong. You don't interfere with Police business, what the fuck did she think was gonna happen by trying to push the policeman, that he'd let go and say 'my bad'?

Well to fair, e.g. in Germany ppl. are required to have completed the 12th grade (more or less high school) to become a cop.
In the US you can even be too intelligent to become a cop (seen that on the dailyshow, an applicant scored too high on an iq test)

Yeah, I find a lot of these police brutality videos to be completely against the cop but this? What did she expect when she started hitting him? This isn't a "oh my god he hit a women!" kind of thing. Anyone, man or woman hits a cop expect to get hit back, hard.

Most (99%) police forces that I know of require you to have a high school degree AT LEAST. Many of them require some college (2 yrs) and some require a college degree.

But wouldn't this be an actual proper situation to bust out the tazer? Seems like cops receive enough training and have enough tools to not need to resort to punching.
 
He apparently has some pillows. Girl wasn't even close to out and her takedown defense was pretty damn strong even after the punch.
 
Well, this thread would be a lot worse if the woman was .... well, ya know.

Ugly video anyways. I don't see why she needed to be punched in the face.
