Cops beat down woman in IHOP

He doesn't fucking slap her, look at his hand, it's not flat and it's not particularly hard. It's a push. And in what way was it overkill to punch her? He needed to take action, if he hadn't she'd of kept fucking hitting him. Idiots.

This is one of those things that could use some references, like why were the cops grabbing the person next to her.
Yeah I'd like to know what went down, from what I see in the beginning it seemed he was trying to grab the person in green and she was trying to talk to or get the attention of the cop and then he swiped at her and she started throwing fist.

THIS!

See women think they can beat and scratch a person nowadays and not get flak because they're women. It's like they're victims of their own reverse discrimination or something. If that was a guy interfering with the arrest and going for the cops' yes are we having this discussion? How about if the woman was a 6'4 400-pound whale? Look I'm no cop apologist and have seen alot of bad stuff go down. Bottom line, DON'T FUCKING ASSAULT THE POLICE OFFICER FIRST.

Please do not magically return to GAF Dragona.

Fucking IHOP/DENNY'S is fucking dangerous man

Shit always goes down there...

Probably because if it's past 9pm they are usually full of drunk people. Probably what causes most of these situations.

the other cop already had a hand and was about to restrain her.

i dont think he noticed. Look as a cop, you expect the unexpected. He was in a fight or flight situation and im sure he felt threatened especially when a crowd is all around and someone starts grabbing you.

Well he should have just pushed her to the ground, that way, more harm could have been avoided!

I don't disagree with you. That other cop should have acted less worthless and grabbed her before that cop swung on her. He clearly didn't hit her too hard, as she didn't have a bruise on her face and she kept right on swingin'. lol

Infact, that second cop should win the "Worthless Partner" award. He didn't help there, then he was barely holding onto her leg in the second part of the video. You fucking fail, partner.

Not sure how you push someone to the ground when they are sitting in a booth with their arms flailing.

As a black man I can't comprehend the thought process that ends with you putting yourself within 5 feet of a police officer.

Well with his superior size advantage, he could have also easily restrained her, or asked the other cop to help out, right?

YouTube comment:

"vote ron paul for 2012 president end this nonsense now!!! vote for this good doctor!!!! down with tyranny!!!!! bring liberty home where it belongs!!!!"

The mania section of the DSM needs a new subcategory, I think.

well im assuming most of his weight is upper body, so he was somewhat leaning into that booth so it would be kinda hard to do anything in retaliation and yes his partner should of been helping out instead of coppin a sneaky peak at girls ass.

Probably not very smart of her to punch the police officer.

Some women think they're untouchable.

Huh bruh, gotta stay away from the cops... but ever since I moved from Louisiana to Colorado I feel much less afraid of being around cops.

I can't believe he hit a woman

As opposed to......pepper spraying a woman, tasering a woman, or shooting a woman?

The slap was dumb, because it didn't serve any useful controlling purpose, other than to set the chick off.

But police don't have the luxury of saying "I won't hit a woman because it's wrong for a man to hit a woman." If the Use of Force is justified, the subject's sex doesn't matter.

Guys, she struck a cop trying to do his job. She deserved the punch.

I'm sure they didn't have time to call in a police woman to do the same thing.

Well the other cop did break them up.
no he didn't. that was part of the damn problem. he was damn near just another observer. Kinda helping, but not really taking a lead in helping. As soon as the other cop pushed the girl in the face, his partner should have swooped in and grabbed that chick. Period.

The other cop seemed like he was trying to subdue her, at least until she threw a punch

My pal was telling me about how he pulls his wallet out super slow with no quick moments. I think he's gotten into the habit of putting his wallet in a little dashboard alcove in his car so he doesn't have to reach into his pants. I'm just like "yeah I'll never have to deal with that fear."

I feel like I saw little more than him grabbing at a hand. While she continued to lean in and swing. He should have tackled her ass. Maybe I need to watch that part again. He just seemed wholly unhelpful.

Ha. It's serious business, depending on what part of what city you're in. In the 'burbs, it's not an issue. But go to some downtown and all the cops are over-worked, underpaid, stressed out and generally tired of black people. It's good to be wise and understand these things.

I don't condone what the cop did, but "DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS ON A COP"
the moral of the story.

I lived in NYC for 24 years and I will tell you this "DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS ON A COP" I have seen this type of reaction many times, I have seen a female cop literally beat the shit of the woman in the 90's before all this great technology we have today, people overreact to this today because cell phone cams record this type of stuff more often today, but in the early 90's I saw this level of stupidity probably once month on my block in Brooklyn, it has even happen to my own brother, I don't condone what the cop did, but "DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS ON A COP"

According to the article they were "innocently" sitting at the table, critiquing the storm trooper and Boba Fett.

According to several videos posted on YouTube.com, the officer, whose name police have not provided, shouted at a woman sitting in the corner of a booth near the door and then he lunged at her. A woman wearing a black dress appeared to be trying to separate the officer and her friend when the officer slapped her. The woman in the black dress hit him back, and he punched her in the face.

A second officer came up just as the struggle began. He got involved when it became physical between the first cop and the woman in the black dress, apparently trying to separate them. The first officer pulled the woman away from the table, threw her onto the floor and laid on top of her while trying to get handcuffs on one wrist. The second wrist was cuffed when she turned over on her stomach.

But wouldn't this be an actual proper situation to bust out the tazer? Seems like cops receive enough training and have enough tools to not need to resort to punching.

Too close for probe mode.

Enco said:
Yup and it was right to arrest her but come one.. did you see the size of him? That level of force was unneeded. Even his shove to the face was over the top.

You gotta be stupid to hit a policeman though.

Shove to the face was silly. The strikes in response to her hitting him was not an excessive level of force.

dr3upmushroom said:
Yeah, that's how I feel to. Cops should be trained to keep their composure in situations like this.

Cops are trained to respond to assaultive behaviour with an appropriate level of force to stop the subject's behaviour. The cop's response in this instance accomplished that.

Well, this thread would be a lot worse if the woman was .... well, ya know.
True, but the thread would also be a lot more entertaining. I never know whether to be disappointed or relieved that black people aren't involved.

Koodo said:
Couldn't help but lol at the reaction of the guy in the table right behind the fight.
Honestly, that was exactly the reaction I would have expected from him, and myself. :)

We're in the burbs tho. I think it's the opposite issue of the city. There cops are irritable and overworked, here they're fucking bored and trolling for drama. Like someone will be pulled over in my town over nothing and there are like 3 cop cars all with lights flashing on site in no time.
