So the sand castle is ground/ghost because the ghost is controlling sand, but when hit by water the sand washes away and it's just ghost? That's fun.

Normally I would hate a sandcastle pokemon, but the ghost element brings it all together. I'm down with it.

Alolan Meowth is everything I feared these would be, where it's just a colour swap. I mean, the others actually get cool or at least new looks but of course, Meowth just goes grey and gets a bit more sassy.

Sort of bitter sweet that the leaked Pokedex has been confirmed to be fake. There were some really cool typings listed and I'm actually quite happy with 103 brand new Pokemon. It's sort of unusual how Magearna was the only mythical Pokemon on the list though...I mean Game Freak always designs at least 3 mythical Pokemon to give away every year when the new Pokemon movie comes out.

I'm hoping for at least 100 new Pokemon still... The 72 new Pokemon we got from X/Y felt like a rip off. And no, Mega Evolutions are not new Pokemon to me.

Fire/Ghost is cool for Alolan Marowak. I pictured a more colorful design, though. Hmm. THE SITH LORD OF POKEMON.

I'm really surprised that Bewear has a pre-evo. They're still not holding back at all when it comes to Pokemon reveals. That takes us up to 36-37 I believe. I can't see them showing any more on Friday now though. Maybe some more Alola forms.

Oh, wait, I misunderstood your OP. Those are two separate stages, right? The small mound evolves into the sandcastle. And they're Ground/Ghost until hit with Water, then they become pure Ghost.

Man, the abilities are so clever this generation.
