Don't blame Tails, blame the game for making the misguided assumption that Tails would be controlled by a second player during special stages. Don't believe me? Put Sonic in the game by himself and then look at the ring requirements.

Also, Tails IS fairly annoying overall, but my point is that he is fairly tame by comparison to other characters in the universe. At the very least, he doesn't talk during Sonic 2

I agree with this. I mean sure, Waluigi was created just to give Wario a doubles partner. But he has some great animations, and he helped make the openings to the Gamecube Mario Golf and Tennis games freaking hilarious.

Daisy, on the other hand, is bland and boring and stupid and screams "HI I'M DAISY!!!" every time she passes you in Mario Kart: Double Dash.

It's not picking characters who are genuinely annoying, it's just listing characters who, considering their role, should be annoying because they're non-badass/cool helper characters, or a similar reason to that.

Is Tails REALLY more annoying than Shadow or Silver, who keep plaguing the Sonic games? Is Slippy REALLY more annoying than Krystal, for the same reason? And Tingle isn't annoying, he's fascinating.

But then again, "annoying" doesn't necessarily equate to "worst".

There was no shitty friends until Sonic Adventure. There is nothing wrong with having supporting characters in a series, and I personally think that they became shitty as soon as they opened their mouths and took themselves seriously.

This is a valid reason to hate him, but I absolutely love the fact that he's such a bastard despite his looks. If he was another generic goody two-shoes who helped you out on your adventure, he wouldn't be half as appealing as I find him now.

Yes. Slippy has been a stupid annoying fucker in every single game in the series. In every game except Adventures and Command, his only role was to be useless and say "OHNOEZ HALP ME FOX!!!!" in his annoying, eardrum scratching voice. And in Adventures, he still had his annoying eardrum scratching voice, only he had more lines and you had to listen to him actually say more than a line here and there, whereas Krystal was at least trapped inside a giant crystal with her mouth shut for 90% of the game. Then in Command, even though he didn't have his annoying, eardrum scratching voice, he brought along his girlfriend Amanda, the absolute fucking stupidest, most worthless character in the entire series, and while Krystal was a stupid annoying bitch in that game, she was still better than Slippy, and unlike Slippy she flew a ship that wasn't complete shit. And in Assault, where their roles are pretty much identical (be useless and scream, "OHNOEZ HALP ME FOX!!!!""), Slippy still had his horrible eardrum scratching voice, and Krystal at least provided some humorous banter with Panther, so she's slightly less shitty than Slippy in that game.

God I hate Slippy. Stupid fucking frog.

Oh, and regardless of all that, the article says, "Annoying characters in otherwise good games," and since none of the Star Fox games with Krystal have been good, they don't qualify.
