If I say Batman Begins, how long do you think I'll last?

Actually I think BB is fine...just fine...but the score is awesome.

Poseidon (2006)
The Island (2005)
Spider-Man 3 (2007)
X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) <-----Get this soundtrack immediately.

Notable parts:
"Dark Phoenix's Tragedy"
"Whirlpool of Love"
"Phoenix Rises"

Star Wars prequels, lol amirite.
Nah. Their scores were pretty average (especially in relation to the original trilogy) except for Duel of the Fates.

Dune (a lot of people consider it a crappy movie, but it's one of the two David Lynch movies that I like)
The Last Dragon
Kundun (certainly not a crappy film but not in the same league as Scorsese's other work)

More to come as I think of them...

Elf.

The rottentomatoes score nearly gave me a stroke. What's wrong with people?

Sometimes it's hard to tell if you're just joking, or you actually misinterpreted the thread.
Granted, it did have good music, but other than that it was total shite.

Conan the Barbarian. Although it's not necessarily a crappy movie, just a very silly one that is elevated to awesome thanks to the score alone.

For all the shit the Island gets, I was surprised when I actually saw it and found it to be one of the more passable Michael Bay films.

This in reference to an earlier post that mentioned it.

King Arthur had a superb Hans Zimmer score but was considered by most people to be crappy (not me though, I basically liked the movie).

<------ alot of people didn't like "The Fountain" but the score cant be denied. Its the only movie soundtrack I went out and bought after seeing the movie. Go buy it now! and pick up the bluray movie while your at it!

thought of this thread while listening to the score of Way of the Gun :)

so what are some others..

Way of the Gun wasn't exactly a crappy movie. I think it's really an edge case. You can tell that most of the people involved were pretty talented, but some of them were too green to make a great movie. There are some great bits to that movie.

I totally agree. I like BB, but think it is incredibly overrated, and I think the score rocks, and as the best part of the movie.

Spider-Man 3 (2007)

I thought the score was absolutely terrible. How bad? I don't even like Elfman, yet Christopher Young's score had me genuinely missing him.

Dead Man's Chest.

Agreed. But I'll say mediocre instead of crappy.

Children of Men

This has to be a joke. CoM rocked AND there was barely any score in it. There actually was only one piece of music composed for the film, "Fragments of a Prayer".

Also, I'm glad this thread is actually about scores. One of my big pet peeves is people calling OSTs "scores". Like when someone says "ZOMG Pulp Fiction has an awesome score!". Er, no it doesn't. It has a great selection of songs on the soundtrack, but not a single note of a score was written for it.
