CRAZY Accident on I-95 in Baltimore

That trailer going over and exploding was pure Hollywood. The guy filming did well to keep it together all things considered, but I would've been on my way down to ground level in a heartbeat to try and help the driver.

Vehicle fires is probably one of the last things emergency responders want people throwing themselves into, unless you want to add another casualty to their list.

Most truckers are.

Conditions change and responsible drivers anticipate said changes. I understand ice can be hard to spot and come out of nowhere, I've had my share of experiences with that, but given the forecast none of those people should have been going at that speed.

Seems like an unnecessary blanket statement about truckers. You don't just stop 80,000 lbs of truck and cargo like a car can. There is no way anyone could have anticipated this.

Yeah I was gonna say, guy wouldn't be here posting if he had tried to vault over the gap between the lanes into fire.

Yeah. Remember the video of the guys in the BMW filming burning Paul Walker? What could they even do to help someone burning in a 1000 degree hot fire?

And then when the next truck comes down on top of you?

As a local my friend and I were already taking Friday about canceling plans to go see Star Wars Saturday because we had seen the forecast for freezing rain and ice accumulations in the morning.

I feel like truckers should have known about this since it's their jobs and their lives on the line, and been driving more slowly. That said, I'm not an expert and maybe the truck in the video wasn't doing 40-50 mph on an overpass, maybe even more slowly the truck would have still flipped. It's definitely a terrible accident :(

Probably been mentioned, and it's probably no the camera man's intention, but good God does he come off as terrible. He sounds like he's enjoying it like watching a movie or something.

Insane footage though. And terrible about the loss of life. :(

Lots of legit shitty people in this world, and that cameraman isn't one of them.

When people see/read news about something bad, they immediately want someone to blame.... without thinking/or having the ability to think things through.

but just like voting, people have the power to shit post and then bounce.

I'm guessing people missed the part when he said he was about to cry... first he was in shock, then reality set in.

but of course, lets blame/bash someone.

If you watch the video, you'll see that he saw the tanker before it went up in flames and did nothing.

If you watch the video you'll see that there were other accidents before the tanker showed up. Why do you think he was shooting video?

Now that I'm a bit older and live in Germany again and in a mountain area that has heavy snow, I drive really really slow and carefully in the winter. Like, the road near my house where 100 kph is allowed, I'll often drive at 40-50 or maybe even only 30 kph in the winter when I start to notice my car moving from side to side on the snow or when I notice it's slippery. And I'll have dickhead drivers in delivery vans and trucks riding my rear bumper with one fucking meter distance trying to intimidate me into driving faster. Fuck those stupid motherfuckers for purposely endangering my life and making winter driving unnecessarily more dangerous and awful than it already is.

As well as the trucker who fell off the highway, I also couldn't imagine thinking what was going through that other trucker who slowly went into the flames.

He was braking, but it didn't matter... just slowly going into the flames. :(

I know some might feel he could've jumped out or something (not that would've guaranteed survival), but I'm sure he was in shock..and probably felt he could've stopped in time. Everything happened so fast.

This had the potential to be a much bigger disaster. The truck landed on fucking train tracks. Horrible tragedy.
how?
with Super Jump?
with Icarus Landing Augment?

how the fuck can a stranded driver turned pedestrian back track on foot AGAINST incoiming On-Ramp to go down below?

it would take over 10 to 15 minutes to walk all the way down, in darkness with no lights

+ Pedestrians are not ALLOWED to walk on On-Ramps/ Off-Ramps, + with ice = injury or death
