Crimson Desert |OT| We've Got Quest(ion)s

I'm gonna pass. Doing any more puzzles in the Abyss sounds like the last thing I would ever want to do.

The weird thing is the puzzles from late in the game tend to be much easier than those early on. And I don't mean just because you get familiar with the various tricks, they do tend to be simpler/involve fewer steps.

So finnished up the campaign this weekend. 140hrs but half that time was spent in Hernand lol. kinda just mainlined after chapter 8 or 9. Could of easlily done anotber 140hrs. Could feel myself burning out so didnt really explore crimson desert or delysia. Enjoyed myself but overall id give it maybe 7.5/10. Really torn on the game. On one hand the world and graphics and content are on another level. But the story and voice acting sucks. Plus i had to look up so many little things because the game doesnt explain remotely what you need to do half the time. The game could of been the game of the generation with better story and writing, but I was left pretty dissapointed overall.

I kind of want to start a new game knowing what i know now lol😂. I think it would be more enjoyable. But thats crazy talk😂😂

Few things:
-What kind of updates have taken place to visuals and performance for ps5 pro since release?

I reinstalled and I opted for performance mode now. Balanced with 120hz wasn't smooth to me. Also, while on this topic, if I enable 120hz mode in games does it render at a lower resolution? If so, should I just stick with performance mode but no 120hz for better visuals?

-Secondly, I got a 5080 recently new rig. I'm only 16 hours into CD on ps5 pro. Is this game a major step up on pc? Is it doing path tracing and other wild stuff to blow me away? Already looks great on pro in performance imo.

Performance, sharpness, LOD, etc. improvements have been made, but many of these improvements were implemented across all platforms. I recommend checking the patch notes. The PC remains the platform with the best graphics thanks to RT+RR. The game doesn't have path tracing.

The best thing to do is go to YouTube to see the RT of the PC version.

I had a similar experience. I'll go back and finish the other stuff if there's ever a DLC.

Run performance, 4k output, 60hz cap. Pretty sure that's the consensus for the best balanced result. Frame-rate is never going to be locked, load variance is far too great, but on the whole I'd consider it to be decent enough in terms of IQ. 120hz should be better, but I shifted away from it because if I recall I had issues.
