fuckk... alot of these negatives are shit i hate. obtuse mechanics/controls, annoying inventories, overly large for "big scope". but i want to wwe some fools and graphics and boss fights... hmm m

im done with you goodbye GIF

Disappointing reviews, but still looking forward to playing this. If nothing else it still sounds like a fun and gorgeous open world to fuck around in

Thanks for posting this, crazy I read that entire Eurogamer review and he just fails to mention any of this.

Not for me, for sure.
Well I guess once you unlocked every region it's fine. Perhaps that's why the reviews tend to stay the beginning of the game is confusing.

Seems like it's rating decent, but nothing spectacular. I wonder if my buddy bought it (we do home sharing).

But looks like a game to get later after it's been patched up and 50% off.

the fact some of you thought 90-94 is fricken hilarious rn
I thought 85-89 was a given, but I was wrong! No biggie, people will be able to try it themselves to see if they like it or not, no need to throw tantrums over review scores. 🤷‍♂️

Like I said this morning, after finally watching a gameplay trailer, the game looked like it might be a Jack-of-all, and King of none type game.

I will be totally honest, i wouild of bought it even if the MC was 60.
I feel thats why they really didnt want people to call it an RPG, and instead focus on the map size, density, and the exploration. And the exploration was always the no.1 thing for me, and i said it multiple times on here.

As long as i can explore a massive map, see weird stuff, help npc's, kill npc's, climb some mountains, hit some caves and dungeaons. Well thats all i really want from this, a sandbox to have fun in.

I was way off too. I picked the same range.

I got duped into the massive preview hype thinking it cant go wrong. lol

Lots of reviews are still calling the game incredible, hard to know what it's worth
It seems like many are highlighting the visual spectacle and seemingly vast open world, but this game seems to suffer from Starfield syndrome: a game that is a mile wide but an inch deep in terms of actual depth.

That's why I say if someone was interested in it in the first place, like how do they let reviews sway them? There's only one way to find out, it's to get in there and see. So many games that weren't crushing reviews ended being some of the best games ever... So yea, can't wait to dive in

I wasnt too far off, i think i put 80-84, I never thought it was gonna be bad or anything

Not really, I will rate the game myself. I don't need someone else (often woke, social justice warriors with zero gaming skills) to tell me if something is good or not, reviews are useful to see if something is not a total disaster (like MindsEye) and that's it.

After about a dozen hours in this game, I felt compelled to actively avoid combat. The one reason: the game is stingy with its expensive restorative items. If Kliff finds any free healing items, you'll be incredibly lucky if it restores 25% of his health. Most bosses will obliterate that with a sneeze, while also requiring you to defeat them two or three times in a single skirmish.

That game is raw doo doo.
Black Myth: Wukong is easily my fav game this gen,

scored like 70s-low 80s

cant trust these journalists, we just appreciate different aspects of a game. i dont need perfect systems and execution.
i need good immersion, high visual fidelity, dope atmosphere and exploration + great combat

Yea man BMW was just incredible, platinumed it and loved every second

I'll see how it is soon enough. I can always go back to a heavily modded Dogma 2. And then we'll see how modders make this even more fun. The weak basic enemies is bad news. Mods will help add some challenge.
