CRISIS CORE: FINAL FANTASY 7 : new scans and new screens!!!!

Japanese otaku are 10000x more emo than any Amercan anime fan I've ever met. Seriously, most manga over there these days someone gets shot or killed in the first few pages. I liked City Hunter and Slayers :(

Graphics look good, but the FF7 whoring needs to *stop*.

For gawd's sake. FF7: Advent Children was terrible.

The story was already told in FF7, continuing it just cheapens the whole thing. It's like making a Titanic 2.

Remake FF7 or leave the damn game alone.

FF7: Advent Children was an orgasim of fanservice, which is why I enjoyed it. Before Crisis would of been decent, if they made it for actual fucking decent gaming handheld (DS maybe). DOC had basically nothing to do with the main FF7 universe, which is why should of never been made. Crisis Core at least holds a decent connnection with the FF7 saga, and focuses on some of the key characters origins which are vital to the original FF7 story. So just maybe (mmaaaayybbbeee), it might turn out worth while.

This is the worst kind of fanservice though ... these are obviously cash-ins ... without any of the epic feel of the original FF7.

If you asked Lord of the Rings fans, they probably would go see a 3 hour movie which is nothing but Aragorn after ROTK and the day-to-day politics of being king ... it doesn't neccessarily mean its a good idea to make it though.

And they're doing everything *but* remaking FF7, which is what makes it all that much worse.

i finally got around to seeing Advent Children btw. i was thinking "this isn't so bad until
they bring sephiroth back

Eh, these designs are faithful to the original designs. You can't really blame them for this like you can for FF13 and ts jpop/emo stuff.

The screens look amazing btw...

You guys really don't seem to wanna listen...Gackt is going to be a big part of this story, me and Duckroll have already concluded this. There is a mention of Project G(gackt) in the first damn set of screen ffs....

Get over it. This game will add nothing to the FFVII canon. It will just chop it up and sully it more.

Is this really true though? Maybe it has been too long since I saw the actual character designs. I remember Cloud looking like some half-chibi anime swordsman in all the designs I saw back in the day...There is no way to deny that the characters have been jpopified along with all the others...

More importantly, how do you all have such a negative opinion of the concept before the thing's even close to being stateside. Bad importers / spoiler junkies, bad! :lol

I think I'm going to maintain a pretty objective / neutral opinion of this Gackt fellow until I actually have DoC.

Would anyone here like a 1st/3rd person shooter based in the Spirits Within universe? I thought that it might be a way to extend all those assets they made into something more profitable.
