Love framegen, x3 so real frames are around 58, without it i couldnt even dreaming of maxing out my 180Hz monitor. (it's locked on 171 because of GSYNC + reflex)

I bet motion looks silky smooth.

I'm pretty sure currently, base performance mode is the same as Pro, which for Pro owners, is not great. When you get games like Stellar Blade which is such a beautiful example of PSSR on Pro, it plays 80fps and looks native 4K, you come to expect better.well I played on the base ps5 so you answered your own question lol
Didn't realise he was talking about the pro specifically. I thought it looked great on the base
It's an adult game for adults. SophisticatedHoly shit, this game is amazing !!
Indeed. I would've loved a quick turn option and a more sophisticated combat, but the game is still great. It's an adult game for adults. Sophisticated
Everytime I boot up the pro, I say fuck sony out loud because of this reason. How many fps with FGx2? If around 150fps, it would be better to use FGx2 instead of FGx3.Love framegen, x3 so real frames are around 58, without it i couldnt even dreaming of maxing out my 180Hz monitor. (it's locked on 171 because of GSYNC + reflex)

I did that, it's still at 171 most of the time, anyway i can't feel difference in latency between x3, or x2, i even played with x3 framegen BF6 Beta, and thats one of the worst scenario for framegen, fast first-person shooter. Maybe im just getting old and my reaction time is getting slow lolHow many fps with FGx2? If around 150fps, it would be better to use FGx2 instead of FGx3.
Your GPU usage is at 77%, so without fps cap your framerate would be probably like 200-220fps. If the Nvidia drivers limit your framerate to 171 fps, I recommend using RTSS to cap the framerate even lower than that, at 170 fps, using the "Reflex" framelimiter instead of the default "async". The difference is only 1 fps, but the latency is improved even further with RTSS limiter.
With correct settings (and it seems you are using them) DLSS FG offers responsive gameplay even in fast paced first person shooter games, so I think your impressions are normal. This technology is simply amazing man.I did that, it's still at 171 most of the time, anyway i can't feel difference in latency between x3, or x2, i even played with x3 framegen BF6 Beta, and thats one of the worst scenario for framegen, fast first-person shooter. it is, important thing is to proper set up gsync + reflex to minimize latency, and keep "real" frames to be around 60 or more, and you ready to go.With correct settings (and it seems you are using them) DLSS FG offers responsive gameplay even in fast paced first person shooter games, so I think your impressions are normal. yeah the difficulty thing is way overblown. Its a survival horror ffs. The difficulty is very well balanced and i really like the fact that there is only 1, atleast on new game. If someone tries to play this like an action game, not exploring, missing his shots etc, i can see how it can be difficult, but thats a skill issue not the games fault. Im only using the starter pistol and shotgun with upgraded power and charge and im wrecking everything. I set the big guys on fire first, 2-3 charged shots and they are dead. Also love running around them, lining them up and killing multiple enemies with penetration shots. So satisfying.GOD IS REAL
I - somehow - managed to get by that bugged spot which wouldn't allow me to proceed :
- Some said to backpedal (back facing the camera) through the broken texture - didn't work
- Some said that you could get through by finding the "right angle" - didn't work
Someone on steam forums said to delete a previous save - didn't work
What worked was creating a new save, deleting the previous (bugged) one and reloading the fresh save...I'm finally able to continue now ! Fucking Bloober man...
Anyway : played 2 more hours and...the game is great, again, for all intents and purposes, this is dead space in all but name : The retro-futuristic esthetics, the monsters which might as well be the necromorphs, the MC's suit, the methodic combat... everything reminds me of dead space way more than a RE or SH game...
Also, regarding the difficulty, again, I REALLY don't get get the complaints , those idiot journalists should be held accountable for spreading misinformation and damaging the game's sales, I mean, I've seen people in here mentioning it many times (no matter the fact that it actually spawned a couple of threads about game difficulty in here) and same thing in Facebook, lots of "didn't buy the game 'cause I read it's too hard", like, damn, people must really like their autopilot games nowadays.
I could understand someone not liking or having the time for something super hard/masochistic/Not respecting the player's time but G'damn, If you played any survival horror games in the last 10 to 15 years you should be good with this one too, the ONLY aspect which could pose a "problem" Is the limited inventory space (initially) which fixes itself after a couple of upgrades - It's not the easy, Tetris bullshit management of Resident evil 4 if that's what you're looking for.
I could somehow understand people complaining about the difficulty in games like Hollow knight, Sekiro, Moonscars, Elden Ring DLC or what have you, but this ? This is a completely "by the book" game, It's not too easy, it's not too hard, it's just "normal".
Man, since Dead space is all but dead, this totally feels like a spiritual successor and it has so much potential for a proper franchise.
Is it original ? absolutely not.
Is it good ? Yes, very much.
It has all the elements of a good survival horror game like art direction, sound production, graphics and combat encounters.
The only thing that I'd fix in a sequel are A) more interactive environments (they're very static in this one), B) bigger levels - ala' SH2 Re (map included) and C) even better graphics.
It does, but its really subtle, atleast on PC, even at maxed settings. Maybe its better on PS, i noticed that in some games the effects are way stronger on PS than PC even tho PC version has native support aswellDoes this game use haptics and adaptive triggers? And if so, is it done well?
I mean i dont have complaints on the same card, but i wouldnt call it impressive lol. 80-100 without framegen would be impressive thoI'm actually impressed with the performance of this game. On 1440p Ultrawide using DLSS Quality and Ultra Preset with RT and FrameGen enabled (not Multi) I am getting a consistent 80 - 100 FPS. Only issue is the occasional UE5 stutter, but they are few and far between.

framegen doesn't seem to cause any artifacts or noticeable latency like it might in other games though.I mean i dont have complaints on the same card, but i wouldnt call it impressive lol. 80-100 without framegen would be impressive tho![]()
Yeah 2x is great in this but still. Game is insanely heavy on the GPU with RTframegen doesn't seem to cause any artifacts or noticeable latency like it might in other games though.
Depends on playstyle. Someone finished it just under 12. Im 14 hours in but im probably at 2/3 so will finish around 18-20Man I'm kind of tempted to pull the trigger on this, but didn't want to pause Death Stranding 2, even though the game is dragging me a bit.
How long is this game actually?

I bought the Xbox key, but it also somehow game me windows key, which is just for Xbox Store (I know) and I was trying it on RTX4090 and AMD Ryzen 9950x and compare to other UE5 games, this run smooth as hell, compare to SH 2 Remake, where the stutter was significant (I also have that on PC, but Steam) this is fantastic. Maybe the smaller scale helps, but I am glad that the optimization is good.I'm actually impressed with the performance of this game. Easy 15-20 first playthrough for most people. A touch shorter for poop sock gamerz.Man I'm kind of tempted to pull the trigger on this, but didn't want to pause Death Stranding 2, even though the game is dragging me a bit.

My playthrough was 19 hours, but I was taking it slow, exploring a lot and going back to the supply station often. I also got stuck for a while on second to last boss. So from my perspective it is a bit shorter than Silent Hill 2 Remake (which took me around 20 hours).Man I'm kind of tempted to pull the trigger on this, but didn't want to pause Death Stranding 2, even though the game is dragging me a bit.

Loved that whole section and the level design leading up to that extraction was quite good. I found it to be quite linear up until that point. A bit of backtracking, with the interconnected areas and locked doors. It was well thought out. This place was so good

Even better when you headshot 3 of them at the same time with 1 bulletThe charge shot of pistol is so satisfying, Enemies stagger, awesome feel on the kickback of the weapon, the sound and when you finally land a headshot and enemy goes down with blood fountain and falling behind with force. Amazing to see in motion.
Not sure if shared already in here.
First i was afraid of the stutters in this game, because you get a stutter literally 1 minutes into the game, before you climb that rock, but im playing maxed out with RT and only getting stutters while autosaving now and maybe some small traversal ones here and there, but not really noticing it
It has software Lumen and not hardware Lumen (RT) as on PCIt's the same exact thing on PS5 Lui.
PS: this doesn't have RT on the PS5 though, does it ?

There was an update just recently I don't know what did it fix or not, but it just seems the game runs even better now or just the area that I'm at, no clue honestly but I'll take itWas there a update that fixed the issue recently? DF was showing in their video moderate dips/stutters in a number of areas in their videos.
Are you having more fun with it than the Dead Space remake? Are there any melee attacks?
Yeah, punch and stomp. I only use them on the weakest enemies. Just died at the hospital boss. Fucker was in his last phase
