Cube Trilogy

I've only seen the first one and it was pretty rad.
I didn't even know there were sequels.

But, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you should probably 1, then 2 and follow that up with 3.

Depends, a lot of prequels even though they take place chronologically before the first movie benefit a lot from having seen the later ones.

I'd say watch them in the order of release.
From what I remember of the first one, it was pretty interesting to find out about what the cube is and why it exists ..etc.. which would probably be spoiled by watching Cube Zero first.

IMDB says:

Cube (1997)
Cube 2: Hypercube (2002)
Cube Zero (2004)

Cube Zero is supposed to be a prequel. Should i watch that one first? Or just start with Cube 1?
Don't watch Cube Zero. Its trash.

Watch Cube then Cube 2, imo.

Plot isn't the focus (or anywhere near the focus) in these movies, so whatever order you watch them won't matter all that much.

This room is blue.

Loved Cube 1, Hypercube was pretty good, Zero was garbage. Watch in the order they were released, if you watched zero I think it would spoil 1 for you.

There's a third?!

Cube is classic. Treat it as a one-off.

Hypercube is a trashy mindless thing to pass the time if you enjoyed the first. Enjoyable, but don't take it seriously. It's just a sequel-by-numbers, with a nice name.

The first one is the only one worth watching. The other 2 are made for tv trash (well looks like dogshit) with NO budget. Don't waste your life.

I wouldn't call it trash.

Although its the weakest of the series, it does bring back the new room fear factor that was missing from the second film. It also has a very good ending.

People think that Hypercube was anything other than terrible? OH WHAT A WORLD.

Just watch the first one. Even that's pretty flawed but at least it gets an A for effort.

Watch Cube Zero last.

Just because it's a prequel doesn't mean it makes the others better. It will in fact RUIN the first movie's surprise.

I watched the first one. Do they ever reveal what the cube is?
Cube Zero is all about reveals.

I've seen Cube (liked it) and Hypercube (hated it). I haven't seen Cube Zero. Given that some people here like that piece of shit Hypercube but hate Cube Zero, I think I'll pass on Cube Zero.

Perhaps some day if I am unlucky enough to get so badly hurt rock climbing that I am confined to a bed for an extended period of time, then I'll think about watching Cube Zero.

Finish the trilogy. It's not going to hurt you. It doesn't suck that much.

cube is fantastic. cube 2 gives away some of the mystery...i thought it was ok, but most fnas thought it was lame. i wasnt aware of a third one...so it must suck pretty bad. i'd say go in order that they were made, always count on creators to have a sequence in mind.

why would you want to fuck with that sequence, prequel or not?

I actually liked the second one as much as the first... Or well, almost as much. Third one was absolute trash imo, though it obviously had potential and most of its flaws are in the very poorly skilled and inadequate funded execution of it.

Cube 1 was nice, Hypercube was distilled poop.
I didn't bother to watch Zero, maybe I will sooner or later (more probably later).

I would start off with "Are We There Yet?" Then I'd watch the highly underrated sequel "Are We Done Yet?. Then finsh it off with his true masterpiece, "The Players Club".

If you consider Cube 2 to be the same movie as Cube 1 but with different actors and different special effects, you'll likely view it as unnecessary but not terrible.

I've seen the first three. Cube 1 is the best of them all.

watch it in order:

1. Cube
2. Cube 2: Hypercube
3. Cube: Zero
4. Gleaming the Cube to erase the 3rd movie from your mind. :P :P :P

I loved the opening intro of Hypercube blueprint!!! That was awesome!!

Hilariously bad.

*Spoiler alert*

The part of cubed 2 where the protagonist pretty much got shot and killed at the very end of the movie with no good reason was hilarious. It was hilarious when they screamed "IT'S GONNA IMPLODE" and then the whole thing was a giant explosion.

please use the spoiler tags to mask your post if the op hasn't seen the movies yet.

There is no cube trilogy. There is cube and a couple of terrible knock-offs not even made by the same people afaik.

Just watch the first one. If you get really bored, you might not hate the third. The second was just terrible.

Please for the love of god watch them in the order they were made.

Zero just kinda goes back and reveals stuff that you shouldn't know. I mean it's great to watch it after 1 and 2 but the whole point of those two movies is that you don't know the backstory.

I would say the first one didn't exactly have a huge budget either. You know, with the entire movie basically having the same room. Didn't make it any less awesome though.

What exactly happened in Hypercube, I forgot? Also, like everyone has said the original Cube was great.
