Larry David was the brains behind Seinfeld. It's evident in how the last couple seasons without him descended into slapstick and caricature.

Seinfeld is still god-tier. So is Curb.

The last seasons of Seinfeld are great - more absurd and out there but with some of the funniest episodes and moments of the series. Just a different thing which was in fact quite nice after many seasons.


Seinfeld will always be on top. But Curb filled the gap it left almost entirely, with a unique flavor of its own, and now we have tons of Curb episodes to go back to as well as the Seinfeld ones and maybe we'll get even more. It's just a beautiful thing all around.

Both are fantastic, but I'll go with Seinfeld since I thought the overall cast allowed greater variety of funny situations, many more relatable than the ones on Curb.

why are people calling Curb more realistic? Besides the improvised dialogue, lack of sets and audience, they're pretty much the same.

I don't get it either. There were literally plots in Seinfeld ripped out of Seinfeld and Larry David's lives.

Curb. It's uncensored and they touch on more racey topics than Seinfeld. They're both stellar shows, but if I had to pick one, it would be Curb. I mean, Palestinian Chicken is probably my favorite episode from either show. PEACE.

I find Larry David funnier than Jerry Seinfeld. For me it's not even close, Curb all the way.

I don't think they're miles apart, but I agree that LD > JS in terms of overall humor.

It's just very evident from watching Curb that all those amazing little bits of dialogue in Seinfeld were the random musings of Larry David.

so they've got these things called tvs, and these tvs have these things called "channels" which are basically ad supported streams based around different types of content, and typically you can find at least one of these "channels" showing seinfeld episodes at any given time during the day.

this is 2013, no one watches regular ass TV anymore!

Actually that does remind me of a related question though...does watching the seasons in order actually even matter? I'm so used to wanting to watch things in order that I always forget about syndication, lol.
