You play the game to the left of the main machine, you can play it once a day. Inside are blank badges, some of the badges will have a red back when it comes to checking them, if you get a winning badge it will give you 3 free goes of the main machine.
The total of blank badges is remembered for every 10 badges you get you wll be given 1 free go.
Just noticed there are a lot more animal forest sets today and some of the other sets have now vanished from the machine like the one that was a screen full of mario blocks and the mario 3d world ones that had little yellow hooks sticking out on them to grab. I hope that when they vanish from the machine they aren't gone forever and they just rotate around depending on the day.

I've spent ¥270 so far. I haven't bought anything from the eShop in ages so this is a pretty big deal for me. Looking forward to Zelda stickers.

That Daisy icon would have been perfect for 3D world. She should have been that girl...
The icon acts as a shortcut, so you can just place the old one in a folder or something and yor good.

Oh god. I already felt dumb for buying an Animal Crossing 3DS theme and now they're making me want fucking stickers to put on my 3DS theme. Ughh. Give me it already.
Seeing as theme are already something you pay for it's not that outrageous.
I mean, it may not be outrageous, but I was hoping I could manage to grab at least one for free outside of the basic colors, since I'm not willing to throw money at it. Not a huge deal, but I am a little disappointed.

Oh shit, new Famicom badges. Clu Clu Land, Balloon Fight, Ice Climber, and Devil World. Also, some Christmas-themed Super Mario Bros badges.

Gah. Got another "hit" today in the practice machine... and I wasted two of my chances trying to go for the darn round badges (the ones with Kamek/Bowser/Bowser Jr./Toad/Dry Bones/I think Peach), and those things are ridiculous! I just kind of jostled them slightly! Anyone have a good strategy for attacking that set? And it totally looks like they'd all just slide in a chain if you could get it started! I ended up with only Bowser's flame out of my 3 free plays
It's also so very, very dangerous with those paid plays. I've definitely been tempted a few times, but I've resisted the urge thus far, telling myself that at the very least it would be ridiculous to spend money when my Japanese 3DS isn't even my main one (also, they seriously need to hurry up and bring this thing to the US!)

If you're talking about Bowser's castle campaign, you need to spend 180 yen to get it. It will end in a day or so.
If you are holding A until the crane hits the wall, the crane's going to bounce back. You need to let go of A earlier, so that it slows to a stop.
This is the one I'm referring to, the one on the far left. It's so hard to get.

Yeah... I don't know. I've poured over 500¥ into that Mario sticker, and I just can't quite seem to get it. I suck.
Here's what I've done so far, though. (After resetting a few times.)

Yeah you need to let go off the button just before it reaches the wall so it won't bounce off. If you time it right you'll get him. It takes a little concentration and luck but definitely doable! It's worth getting him first because if you grab him, he'll make all the other badges topple over as the crane moves him to the right. I once cleared the entire stage just by getting Mario.

If you mess up and Mario falls over, tap the bunny and choose the top option. He'll reset the stage for you. I don't think it's possible to get the badge after he's fallen over so trying again would be wasting a turn.

No unfortunately there's no option to use your own pictures as a wallpaper.
The theme in that Miiverse post is the Sekai no Owari theme available in the Theme Shop. They're a Japanese rock band. Why Nintendo is selling themes based on bands, I have no clue tho lol

That's kind of insane from a business standpoint. I understand that Nintendo feels they have a responsibility to protect their customers more so than most other companies but telling consumers they can only give them a set amount of money when I'm sure there would be quite a few people who would spend more is a little crazy.
I get not wanting to have to deal with the negative press of the "My kid spent $5,000 on X f2p game" headlines but those stories rarely have any sort of real impact on sales or a company's public image (truthfully most people read those stories and just say they need to be more vigilant of their children).
Nintendo has been far too sensitive when it comes to incidents involving the use of their devices. I think they believe their family friendly image is far more fragile than it really is.

I disagree with that. It's good to have that one company on the market who is looking out for the families. Though Nintendo might not make as much money with this one app, you should remember they still do sell full priced games to those same consumers. It's a complex eco-system and having a few restrictions every now and then could serve to protect it in the long run.
Glad to see this thread actually moving again! I actually managed to get another hit along with the free play for a total of 4 plays yesterday. And I managed to use those to essentially "unplug" the one with the Bowser sticker, causing the whole thing to fall down the hole, making for my first clear! ...And then I used my last try to attempt that darn circular Dry Bones sticker again, which of course resulted in me getting nothing. Fortunately (?) that one seems to be going away soon, so it'll stop diabolically tempting me to waste my plays on it.
Which reminds me: these things seem to be cycling crazy fast! Has anything come back around yet, or has it only rotated out for new stuff thus far? Curious as to whether stuff will come back around or if they'll just keep bringing in new stuff to tempt people and keep on the pressure of that "limited" feel.

I was going to try it again today with my free play, but they didn't give me one today! Oh, and that particular set wasn't up today. I think being able to read what the bunny is saying might help me? Lol! Also, I usually clear out that practice machine, by haven't gotten a single "hit".. Weird.

Also, got another hit along with a set of 10 for a total of four plays today! I decided to risk the darn circular ones with Dry Bones again... and I got Bowser, Bowser Jr, and Dry Bones! Already had Toad, so all I'm missing from that set is Peach and Kamek now, but... yeah, that one's ridiculous with how easy it is to completely whiff on, so I think I'll leave that be for now. Also, the Hakama Mario was my practice one today, and that thing is just goofy. It doesn't have a normal drop slot, things have to slide and hopefully bounce off the pad in the middle and into the drop! I actually failed to get the last practice badge with 2 plays because at first it just sat at the drop point, and then it was bouncing like crazy till it booted me and decided to just go to the results!
Got another hit+10 today, and decided to grab the New Years Isabelle set in full. I knew from practice that you have to take out the bamboo or whatever first to get her out of that slot on the side, and by the time she dropped in I only had 1 play left and the squirrel was all that was left, so I decided to just finish it for my second complete set.
SIX panels, and some of them are tough as nails. I am glad I'm not that big of a Zelda fan because that would be serious money to get all of the badges.
Yeah, I don't think any news or anything for release in other regions yet.

I suspect they'll release it on the next Direct or around or after the New 3DS comes out here.
I could totally see them showing this off on a Direct & then being all "is available....at the end of the Direct!" after they finish talking about it. Now the question is when they'll do their next Direct...
