Oh interesting. I don't see any option anywhere in-game to put the code in (maybe when you add coins?). Does Club Nintendo not give you information as to how to redeem it?

Nintendo just gave the copied and paste code inputting bit that they put on every code. I'll try again on he eShop unless I typed something wrong but I did double check! It's only 20 points but I still want my five free goes!

im completely lost on how to get the backgrounds they have for certain sets. like the starting line for MK7 and the underground for mario. please help.
When they are running a bonus theme promotion, you get the theme for free if you spend 180yen (10 plays). You need to go to the elevator if you don't have the sales bunny take you there after you use the 10 plays because there is a deadline for redeeming. They bring back the promos for the older themes every now and then.

Lots of new stuff in today's update.
Summer vacation has started, so tons of summer themed badges have been added including Kappei (Kapp'n) and his family, Tortimer in a hawaii shirt and stuff from his island and a whooole bunch of tropical fish and summer bugs. If you spend 180 yen you get an Animal Crossing beach theme as well.
For the Shizue/Isabelle collectors they've added another variant of her, a Tanabata Shizue badge that is freaking annoying to get (took me 4 plays) so there you have a perfect example of Nintendo's monetization strategy

Also two new Tomodachi Life panels, with lots of yummy summer-ish food... Water melon, ice cream, mango... If only it weren't raining like crazy here, I'd go out and buy some melon now, haha.
Oh and everybody gets one free play in this update! How generous...

Box Boy badges have been added! 8 panels in total so collectors have their work cut out for them.
There is also a Box Boy theme but it works a bit different this time. Instead of getting the theme as a present when you spend 180 yen, you now have to buy the theme separately... For 200 whopping yen. It does come with BGM sound though. Actually I'm not sure if this is a Badge Collector Center special theme like always or if they're just doing crosspromotion with the normal theme shop this time.
A new promotion featuring four new Baito (the rabbit) badges has also started. Like last time, you get one Baito badge for every 90 yen spent. You get a special Nikki Mode Baito badge when you spend 360 yen (in other words, if you collect all four normal badges). This promotion lasts until July 31st 4 AM.
One new panel featuring Summer Shizue/Isabelle has been added as well. This one is pretty easy, I completed the set using 2 plays.
Speaking of plays, we've been blessed with a free play once more. Thank you tenchou!

Basically from that day until the 23rd there is a chance of getting a free play every day and some "rare" panels from past events will be put in rotation again so if you missed some of the limited edition panels you get another chance during this week.
- First day one free play was given
- Second day (yesterday) no free play... But Baito did promise that that day was an exception.
- Today we got two free plays!
So make sure you boot up the game this week
.
