The game performance has really improved. I wonder what reviews would have been like if it released like this?
Really good.
Really good.
Ps4 version is better than ps5 version.I play it on the PS5 just fine. Are you talking about last generation consoles then?
You are sick and twisted. I am kind of turned on right now.Ps4 version is better than ps5 version.
Some people are running more fool’s errands than ever, misunderstanding and misinterpreting statistics left right and centre for some of the stupidest fucking duck measuring contests nobody need bother with if they only took a few seconds to think. You need to relax, friend.
Some people enjoy studying charts of todays best games.

I am plenty relaxed, this is inane stupidity.
Nobody forced you to buy anything sight unseen. Be an informed consumer. This is on you and everyone else that preorders games or buys day 1 without doing their due diligence.Blah blah blah , you didn't buy it day 1 at full price move the fuck on.
I'm playing it myself and it's a DAMN GOOD game.
The only thing that puzzles me is the ridiculous GPU requirements. Graphically it doesn't look anything special yet you need a 3090 to run 4k.
I think people usually understimate the amount of geometry and verticality when driving around in 3rd person. You underestimate the density and amount of geometry in this game world, and all the interactive parts of it. This is no slouch graphically or on a technical basis.
To be fair, its just had a major patch, and is also on sale at 50% off.
Its not that OP didnt take that into account, but rather is more fun to start shit just for the hell of it.Ding ding ding.
The only person in this thread that's correctly identified what's going on. Those reasons plus the new anime on netflix.
Let's all come back in 2 weeks time when it's no longer on sale and see where it sits on this list.
What is this idiotic thread? What is it even trying to say? As far as I can tell, those numbers are just for whatever day the snapshot was taken of. And it should come to NO surprise to anyone that Cyberpunk is trending right now. For starters, the game has been well received by the PC crowd since launch. It just received a pretty significant update with 1.6. The new expansion was just recently announced, communicating to us that the devs have not abandoned the game and moved on to the next thing (plus they have been steadily fixing major issues since launch, accruing good will on the collective mind). And it just happens to be that a very well received anime was just released on Netflix (I finished watching it yesterday, I really liked it), which I'm sure made some people finally give the game a chance or come back to it after "it was fixed". And finally, on top of it all, the game has a 50% sale going on right now. OP forgot to mention all of that, maybe in a haste to create this thread, or perhaps just to stir some drama. Honestly, if it was not doing better than Elden Ring, then that would be a problem, which is a game that hasn't received any new content since it came out early this year. Heck, if anything, the fact that Elden Ring is so close Cyberpunk speaks a lot about its staying power after all these months. However, it also says a lot about Cyberpunk, that despite the problems and the fact it's been out for close to two years, people are still coming back to it and giving it a chance.
Some of the sentiments in this thread are so puzzling and childish to me.
Whatever you might think about CDPR, they have not abandoned their fan base and are working hard to fix the game and provide more content for it. Yes, they severely damaged their reputation and the trust people had on them, but they have been making an honest effort to fix the situation. This "oh you made a mistake in the past so we will never forgive you and hold you accountable for it FOREVER no matter what you do" BS it's do dumb to me. The people saying such idiotic stuff should live up to their "standards" and NEVER forgive themselves for the dumb shiz they've done in the past. With that said, CDPR still has a lot to prove, and their real test will come when they launch their next game. However, I can only applaud their efforts for genuinely trying to fix the situation and not running away like other developers do.
Also, all you people disregarding the real issues the game has at launch are just delusional. As much as I like Cyberpunk, I cannot disregard the game had serious issues at launch, even on PC. People putting the game on a pedestal saying it's the greatest thing ever and give carte blanche to everything CDPR said or did are just lying to themselves. There were a lot of broken promises, a lot of lies and we didn't get the game that was envisioned or sold to us through advertising.
Finally, my opinion of Cyberpunk 2077 is actually really positive. I was one of the people that bought and played the game at launch on PC. I had crashes throughout my entire play through, and encountered many bugs, one of which kept me from being able to complete all the side missions. Despite all that, I fell in love with the game, the world and its characters. I had a lot of fun playing it! It's a shame the game was released in that state. If they had been able to flesh out some of these ideas I really think it would've been a legendary game for all the good reasons. Instead, I think it's a very solid, very good fun game with some flashes of brilliance here and there.
It would've been far more interesting to have a thread comparing the lifetime numbers of both games, and how they compare over time. I think it's clear to me OP just wanted to elicit a reaction, or maybe they are just lazy. Probably both. Anyway, peace out nerds.

Hell yeah. The redemption arc has begun.
It’s great but No Man’s Sky is on a whole other level, NMS has actually received 20 big game changing updates since it’s original release, plus a bunch of patches and expeditions. Historical comeback.Damn, CD Projekt pulled a no mans sky
won't fix their reputation, but they did fix their game
Twitch's most popular game the past few days has been Cod Modern Warfare 2 beta. What is this idiotic thread? What is it even trying to say?
It is well deserved, like it or not. The game is amazing now. Which is where we are.Not really. It is absolutely undeserved with the state of the game at release on consoles.

Now.
The story and gameplay are still pretty weak.
I still rate it far lower than any Witcher game, but as you can see a lot of people in this thread are showering it with praises and claiming that after few patches it became very good. This game worth trying for someone who didn't like Witcher 1/2? Didn't enjoy the gameplay in either and never bothered with anything the company made again.
I'd say its worth trying if you dig the setting. While the overall game loop follows a similar pattern to that of The Witcher 3, albeit with some improvements, the gameplay itself and tone are very different. This game worth trying for someone who didn't like Witcher 1/2? Didn't enjoy the gameplay in either and never bothered with anything the company made again.
While that may be true I don't think the final visual presentation is as impressive as you claim in the absence of RT. I'm just surprised at how demanding the game is.You underestimate the density and amount of geometry in this game world, and all the interactive parts of it. This is no slouch graphically or on a technical basis.
But as i said, in the absence of RT this game isn't really anymore demanding than other AAA titles. This can run on a GTX 1060 or GTX 1650 at 1080p and reasonably good settings while keeping 30-40 fps. While that may be true I don't think the final visual presentation is as impressive as you claim in the absence of RT. Anything less than 60fps is an unplayable slideshow. 1080p is also very blurry. The GPU requirement for 4k60 is as follows. These are post patch tests with RT and DLSS off.But as i said, in the absence of RT this game isn't really anymore demanding than other AAA titles. This can run on a GTX 1060 or GTX 1650 at 1080p and reasonably good settings while keeping 30-40 fps.
That sounds like a you problem then.Anything less than 60fps is an unplayable slideshow.
Yeah, show me how many RT AAA games can run at max 4k60fps without dlssThe GPU requirement for 4k60 is very high tbh. These are post patch tests with RT and DLSS off.
What??? This gamę should run like this day one, not a year laterDoes this surprise anybody? This is why I always say people overreact way too much by dismissing games too early based on what seems like the equivalent of a 24 hour news cycle seen on cable news.
lolBut not the most played single player game tho, it can't run on consoles... GG Elden Ring
That's with both RT and DLSS off but the graphics do not personally look amazing (though the level of detail in the world is extremely impressive - night city has such an incredible sense of scale, density and consistency to its visual quality). I'm just surprised a 3080 and 3090 brought to its knees. That sounds like a you problem then.
Yeah, show me how many RT AAA games can run at max 4k60fps without dlss
So if you get your shit together you should still suffer for the initial fuck up?Not really. It is absolutely undeserved with the state of the game at release on consoles.
