After hours of feeling like I couldn't aim with a controller I settled on these settings. They feel great now on xbox one pad.
Feels like killzone to me.

Inner deadzone 0
Outer deadzone 1

Horizontal Sensitivity 6
Vertical sensitivity 3
Zoom sensitivity reduction 2
Response curve recommended
Horizontal turning bonus 1.70
Vertical turning bonus 1.80
Turning ramp up time 0.50
Turning delay 0
Horizontal turning ADS 2
Vertical turning ADS 0
Turning ramp up time ADS 0.50
Turning delay ADS 0

You might need more vertical sensitivity but it's a starting point. I invert y axis too.

Actually feels like a shooter with these settings.

You do you, boo.

I don't think you're really supposed to aim. The game has ridiculously aggressive assist. Just spam lock-on.

It's not a refined FPS. I don't think there's much point trying to get it to feel like one.

Using a controller on PC for an fps rpg. Some people just want to see the world burn.

Well he's not playing against other actual players with M+K, so it's not that AI is gonna outgun him. I've been also playing pretty much all single-player FPP/TPP games on PC with a controller in front of big TV in the past ~10 years, simply because it's way more comfortable, with the only exception I can recall being Doom in 2016 where it's obviously a vastly different (better) experience with M+K, but here in CP2077, especially with vehicle driving involved, controller works perfectly fine.

I wasn't that serious, bit of joking around here. Personally, I feel physical and mental pain when playing anything where you have to aim with a controller. Sticks are not made for it. But that's just me.

I totally get why people are playing with a controller, especially when playing on the couch.

I mean, not everyone can be a decent human being with values. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Those pains are incomparable to RSI

No probs. Joking too. Best thing about pc is it's so versatile. I have a pc media server, a pc in my arcade machine and my gaming pc hooked up to my 75 inch 4k tv.

The controller settings out of the box are terrible, just wanted to try help anyone playing with a controller.

Honestly the game is way worse with a controller, it just benefits so much from m&kb. Maybe with Steam Controller if you had the proper mastery of it it could be fine, but ehhh. Thanks for sharing the settings tho. :messenger_fistbump:

an FPS RPG with a lot of driving mixed in and I cba to switch between every time 8D
plus sometimes you just wanna walk around and gawk at the world at snails pace, can't do with that with KBM

I'd assume these settings would more or less reflect console settings as well.

Controller optimization is poor. It makes what seems to be a pretty well thought out shooter in Cyberpunk and makes it feel like jank at first.

I mitigated a lot of issues by putting Horizontal ADS Speed in advance settings to .50. A lot did whatever I could to delay and smoothen our the turning speed boost nonsense.

Kept standard horizontal speed at 11-13 still. It's with ADS that it's too fast.

With these settings your able to finely move the aiming in ADS with with acceleration at the edge of the sticks to turn faster. I took out a whole room with a handgun easily with these settings whereas I couldn't hit jack shit before.

Id say take note your settings first, then try these. Then you can always revert back. Id welcome any feedback.

Well, he could also just play on the hardest mode with a mouse and keyboard and still have more rewarding gameplay

its a mixed bag coz while KBM is undisputedly superior for normal gameplay, it SUCKS for driving.

Every time I get into a vehicle, I immediately pick up my gamepad... I'm glad the game seamlessly switches between both TBH.

Simply turning off all "turning bonus" and ramping up sensitivity just 3-4 notches in both axis made it feel smooth as a modern BF game for me.

On controller, on PC. On second thought this thread is probably about mouse feel.

This is a game that would have benefited immensely to have a Halo Warthog like keyboard+mouse setup, turn where the mouse is aiming. It would have been perfect. I hope they implement something like it soon.

Huh?

Already at nearly 40 hours. It's not a true FPS, in the same way that Fallout 4 isn't. As soon as you get a sniper everything is dead in one shot.
What is a true fps? FPS just means first person shooter, and idk, this seems to be in first person.... With guns.

It means having good gunplay - seem doom, counter strike, rainbow six. Cyberpunks gunplay is average at best. I wouldn't get all elite about people using a controller.

After swapping between the two and preferring hard. I have settled on MKB personally as I want my build to be headshot/handgun orientated.

I'm not even defending Cyberprank's combat, but it's still a FPS. What else would you call it? True or not, still is. Some people are overcomplicating things by giving individual terms and genres prefixes.

So using your logic Deus Ex, STALKER, Metroid Prime and Fallout etc.. are also FPS?
Those are all first person games focuses around shooting shit... So pretty much. I've never played Metroid though. I don't see why people are making things messy by slapping on made up terms and acting like elitists. This isn't Reddit 😥

You can almost eliminate auto aim in the settings, i did that and i have to aim to enemies like any other fps.

I'm gonna try your settings broh.

Well, as other have suggested, I'd suggest it's a game that focusses on the shooting bit. Where there's an element of 'twitch' to the gameplay; that's when you need the mouse.

This is a first person adventure game, with shooting. No more than Skyrim is a shooter when you use a bow and arrow.

I disagree. Cyberpunk is MUCH more focused on shooting then it is melee, and Skyrim vice-versa.

You can have "twitch" gunplay any time on CP2077

That's the whole point. These settings turn it into more of a shooter like killzone. And those saying use keyboard and mouse, I use pc on a tv for the better graphics, not better control's. If you don't like controller on pc this is not the thread for you.

Why not both?

Like I said, this is a thread for people who like to use a controller on pc. If this somehow offends you, or devalues your own choice of gaming preferences, then kindly close the door on the way out.

I've been playing with mouse+keyboard except whenever I get in a vehicle then i'll pick up my Xbox controller and drive, how ive been doing it with these types of games for years. If anything its much better driving with a controller since you have analog steering, gas & brakes.

These feel like you're turning in slow motion, you don't play COD much I'm assuming 🤔
