D3 Publisher announces suspense adventure game Sacrifice of the Abyss for Switch, PC

D3 Publisher and developer Intense have announced Sacrifice of the Abyss, an enhanced version of the February 2010-released PSP suspense adventure game Misshitsu no Sacrifice. It will launch for Switch and PC via Steam on December 17 with support for English, Japanese, and Chinese (Traditional and Simplified) language options. Voice-overs are Japanese-only.

In Japan, the Switch version will be available at retail for 4,800 yen and digitally for 3,990. The Steam version will also cost 3,990 yen.

A fusion of suspense adventure and escape game, Sacrifice of the Abyss is a full-scale suspense story of mystery after mystery. The adventure parts are fully voiced by a cast of wonderful voice actors. And the escape parts offer a high difficulty that will even impress escape game fans.

  • Supported Languages – Supports English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese text language options. Voice-overs are Japanese-only.

Not what I was expecting from the title and picture. Reviews for the original game seem to be all over the place. Somewhat interested in the Steam release but unlikely at full price.
