"Bottom Line: D4 is ridiculous. It's weird, and silly, and makes very little sense. It's also hilarious, and packed with some of the most engaging motion-controlled sequences I've ever played. Coming from someone who generally doesn't like the Kinect, that's a damn big achievement!

Recommendation: A potential must for Deadly Premonition fans, and worth checking out for anybody who wants a strange, strange adventure game."
 
I'm really glad that this game is reviewing well. I was kinda worried that Deadly Premonition was going to be a one hit wonder type of thing.

Yeah. Games like this tend to do well through word of mouth more than advertising blitzes.
 
not familiar with swery or his games, but this sounds interesting. doubt i'll pick it up anytime soon, what with the games coming this fall, but curious to hear impressions
 
I've never even heard of Suda69 but NeoGaf hype got me. Buying NOW! The last time I bit on Gaf hype (Fez) I was very ,very disappointed.

EDIT: I'll be buying it tomorrow, as I'm a few dollars short on my bank account and food comes before buying a game (though I can't wait to get it!)
 
I was heavily tempted to buy... then I just realized I still have $18 in Xbox fun-bucks. So I'm basically getting this for free as far as I'm concerned.

NOOOOOO!! Fake edit: I thought I was about to be sucked in again by the hype. Food? Who needs food? J/k, Enjoy the game bro. I'm at work ,but I'll be playing it when I get home.
 
Wow, what a surprising release! I got my Xbox One a couple of months ago, D4 being one of the exclusives that helped me make the decision, but I haven't bought any other games yet. Also just got Destiny last week, but I've barely touched it since I've been busy.

Hmm.. I think that this game will force me to put Destiny on the backburner.
 
This looks pretty awesome, and glad to hear the kinect works well. An unexpected bonus to an already solid fall line up on XB1!
 
My game installed enough so that I can sit on the title screen and listen to the AMAZING music that plays there! I can idle here for the rest of my days! This is such a huge fucking surprise for me right now! Had no idea this was dropping so randomly. One of the reasons I bought by Xbone too. Huge DP fan, can't wait to spend my weekend with this!!!
 
Really excited to see what this is all about. I was expecting 2015 with how little we've seen it lately.
 
Never played Deadly Premonition so D4 is my first taste of a Swery game. Played about an hour using Kinect. You can play sitting down but you kinda have to sit up straight or lean forward. Every time I would lay back on the sofa to relax, Kinect would lose sight of me and I would have to raise my hand to be seen again. Other than that, it controls very well and registers my movement quite well. I was moving around like a pro in no time.

This game is just weird, in a good way. Won't spoil anything but there were some moments where I genuinely laughed out loud. The characters are very eccentric and personalities are dialed to 11 but so far, I'm quite enjoying what I've experienced.

Well, I finally finished the download. I launch the game. It's stuck on what looks like a boot/title screen.

...I guess I'll download the 8.8 gigs again...
 
Impressions and reviews are very promising so far. I kinda expected this to be a complete trainwreck in a bad way. But apparently it's a complete trainwreck in a good way.
 
I know next to nothing about this game and haven't played any of the developer's previous works. BOUGHT. What have I done!?
 
humble bundle has deadly premonition deluxe and a few other games for $6 btw

good way to see his insane weird great games
