D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die Review Thread

This and Quantum Break are the games that make me want an Xbox One. I kinda want to just watch this on Youtube and buy a copy to support.

Just played the first hour and it's just fantastic. The Sweryness is there, the plot seems to be insane and it's got the Japanese subtitle font.

Only problem I'm having is that it was clearly made for Kinect then had standard controls shoehorned in, it feels like controlling something on rails, you don't directly control the character, you walk them around on a predetermined path.

From what I can see in the streams, this game is amazing. Makes zero sense but is so lovable for some reason - just like Deadly Premonition. Every character encountered so far is amazing.

Like Telltale's Walking Dead?

Looks interesting...

I'll pick this up once I get the bone, but I'm waiting for the MCC or whatever bundle Pachter was hyping for the holidays.

Polygon gave 7/10

I love a game that can surprise me, show me something I've never seen, so the chance to experience something completely otherworldly in a game is really difficult to pass up. If you feel the same way, maybe you'll be willing to push through some of the cruft to get to the delightfully weird bits of Swery65's latest. But it's a bummer that the biggest impediment to all the good D4 offers is D4 itself.

The plane scene was one of my favorite gaming moments this year and probably the best thing I've done with Kinect.

Loving this game.
