The DMC3:SE has been getting my interest lately, but I never played any of the previous versions. Time available to repent & ask which will I enjoy or should I just have faith & start allover from the beginning?

I had 1 a while back but sold it when my first PS2 crapped out on me.

Just last week I picked up 1, 2, and 3 SE and I'm currently playing through them in order. Like Demi, I'm not too far from finding out why 2 is such a stinker.

2 is pretty far from being a bad game It just happens to be inferior to the original and braindead easy.

Play DMC1 and DMC3. Save your money and skip DMC2. It's worthless.

Does DMC3 acknowledge the plot of DMC2 at all? No spoilers please.

Probably not, since DMC3 is a prequel to DMC1.
