Dancing games for Television

Anyone know where I can buy one? (I live in Aus..importing is a 1000% option) I've checked Ebay and thats a choice but I'd like something even more reliable..I tried Play Asia and nothing..

I was thinking of buying a Ps1 and the game but buying the TV game is so much cheaper..and much cheaper then I expected. (going by Ebay)

So can anyone help? Anyone know of anywhere that sells any Dance game for the TV?

Im currently looking at..

DDR1
DDR2

Any help would be appreciated.

Well its not actually DDR lol. Its just a copy but I can live with that. Its really a present that somebody wants but..

1.They don't want to plug into their PC.
2.They have no consoles. NONE.

My sister bought one of them DTV dancing games.. and they're based on some 8bit hardware, or at least the one she got.

Does it work though? All you really need is the arrows and music.

This one is 8-bit too..

Hi lobster. I made the mistake of buying one of these from a local market here in Taiwan.

They are good for a laugh at first because the 'music' (term used loosely here) and graphics are so awful.

Save your money and buy a 2nd hand PS1 and DDR game + Mat. You should be able to pick one up cheaply, and if your friend likes the game, there are a lot more to buy later on.

Seriously - don't buy those cheap knockoff 8-bit plug and play games...

One day I was at the christian book store (long story) and, after being amazed at all the christian knockoffs of non-religious products, I found the end all be all of absurdity: christian themed plug and play DDR knockoff. I almost bought it on comedy value alone.

...good luck :P

I personally would get a USB Dancemat and pair it with Stepmania. Loads of free songs and if you take a stroll on the Dark Side of the Internet (:O) you can get the official Konami songs as well.

:lol that's hilarious :D

I would have bought one. I wonder how they shoehorned christian elements into the bad 8 bit bleeps and NES level graphics?

Maybe the 'arrows' were crucifixes or something...

Are the songs 8-bit too? If yes, I cannot see any reasons why anyone'd want that.

Apparently its stereo quality..

My purchase has been heavily swayed..I've already got a Ps1 DDR Mat but the people who sold me the Mat (for $20) gave me an illegal copy of the game so that didn't help. So Ill propably get a Ps1 and import the game from Play Asia. Thanks for the help guys.

Yes everything is in 8 bit, theres NOTHING quality about those knock-offs. They have sound and graphics worst than a NES.

My mom bought a pair for $20 because she thought it would be "omg familee fun time" at christmas and instead it was just retarded.

also the hit detection really sucks. Plus they have stuff on it like "DDR Pong" which is just pure ass

Damn this thread just made me so sad :(

Ah well. Its not like Ps1s cost much these days and I can get a few games with it to give.
