Animals is simply bad ass...it's probably the closest Floyd ever came to a hard rock album, and is the best Floyd album to listen to when I'm pissed off (which the last couple months is often :lol).

Totally agree. One of the best albums period to listen to while angry.

BTW, you haven't heard the Floyd until you've heard some of their live bootlegs anytime between the late 60's through the 70's. There live act is fucking NUTS it's so good. When these guys jam out on one of their epic songs like AHM or Echoes, the way they work together and flow is unbelievable. Even during the DSOTM tours they would break out into extended jams during sections like Any Colour You Like.

I used to cruise the bittorrent sites back in the day and download tons. One great Animals-era boot has Roger Waters stopping in the middle of Pigs on the Wing and just start cussing out the raucous crowd :lol
