Dark Souls 3 Pre-Load on Steam is online

Since i'm on a 750Ti achieving 60 is most likely impossible. To cap at 30 Afterburner/Rivaturner should be enough, right?

OK so the game started to unpack and immediately began dropping fast until it eventually stopped at a whopping 0bytes/s. This is despite installing the game onto my SSD which I know for sure is just fine.

Is there anything I can do?

EDIT: After a hard restart of Steam it seems to have fixed it. Disk usage is going from about 12mb/s to 10mb/s, but thankfully it isn't dropping below that.

wat... Maybe I will just re-download

The PC performance thread will be up shortly after the game unlocks. I just need to put together the list of graphics settings.

its out. i'm straight up about to delete this preload if the timer doesn't drop.

The initial estimated unpack time is generally high as Steam has to first update the data. In my case, it suddenly dropped from around half an hour to less than two minutes.

Same thing is happening to me. No clue how to fix that.

Do my eyes deceive me? Looked at my desktop via chrome from work and steam started unpacking it by itself? Good job valve, that was always the worst waiting if games to decrypt. I'll be ready to roll when I get home.

I had preloaded the game and now it is trying to update and the update time is just raising.

What the fuck

this is what i'm getting. restarted steam a few times, computer once still just an ever increasing update time. doesn't appear to be doing anything

I have never seen a steam game take so long to install. This is like some 2005 rar inside a zip inside a rar inside an ace file batch unpacking warez bullshit level of compression. The dark souls of installations.

restarted steam and the damn thing decides it is a good time to update asseto corsa

motherfucker. fuck you, asseto corsa!

now I forced him to play ds3 and now the update will take 10 minutes

It's the unpacking process. It will probably go up to 1 year, and then start coming down to about 20 min.

I had seen it unpack before a couple of times, but it was never this bad; not even with fallout 4

My game has been stuck on 17.3 / 17.4gb for nearly 20 mins, and it keeps flatlining to 0 bytes constantly, what is it doing? I haven't even gotten to the unpacking problems yet.
