Drakeroot garden before Blighttown? I don't have the

to open up the door and I am a melee character only so I can't kill the
gorgeous butterfly boss.
Any tips?

You can straight melee who you are talking about. Just dodge enough of his attacks and eventually he'll come to a rest and you can wail on him.

What should I do after Anor Londo? Go with
Frampt
, the ghost town, the Catacombs, or stop putting off the forest? Failing that, I could still do The Great Hollow/Ash Lake...

God this game.

Go with
Frampt
as its a relatively quick affair.

So the Wolf is the only boss I've had trouble with all game, because it's the only boss fast enough to interrupt my soul arrows.

I might need to grind up some endurance so I can block some hits and roll out of his way.

I actually pretty much beat him with pyromancy, and I'm a knight that swings big swords around. I have a +6 glove. All I did was block, run up close and get right under his feet and then hit him twice in the leg with the close range fire spell. I had 16 charges and that was enough to just about kill him - and then I finished him off with fire bombs when he was weak.

For the boss, I was straight melee too
She only does magic damage so if you ahve a shield that blocks magic, equip it. You'll notice that after a few attacks she'll rest on the bridge. This is the time to hit her. Essentially I just had to dodge her attacks until she landed, hit her until I think she's going to use her AOE and backup. Rinse and repeat. There is also an NPC you can summon to help you if you went into the basin and cleared the hydra and went all the way to the back. Save the NPC and she'll let you summon her for the butterfly i believe

Yeah....fuck this game.

I'm at the first bonfire in catacombs now, worth going in further? Respawning skeletons is fucking retarded.

raging hard atm, and my game room is downstairs so I cant access the net for help unless I run up and down the stairs.

I got my wing spear to +10 and it does almost as much damage as the dark knight sword. I'm gonna commit to dex now and see how far this thing can take me.

So uh, what's the best way to get 20k souls for the forest door? I was farming those tree creatures as they're easy but 700 a pop before returning to the bonfire and repeating got too much.

I also have some lightning stone to give to a weapon. Can I give this to my main weapon or is it recommended that I save it for something else?

Beat the Endless Dragon, and/or get summoned to help beat him. I beat him on my own, levelled up, beat him as a summon - then rounded out the rest of the 20k in the Undead Parish

Guys, I need some help joining the warriors of sunlight. Could anyone confirm the requirements?

50 faith (5 less faith requirement everytime you help someone kill a boss)

But someone is saying that you need nine sunlight medals!

You need 50 faith but that can be supplemented with helping people beat bosses. The formula is Your Faith + 5 * # of times you successfully help someone beat a boss = 50. So say you had 16 faith, you would need to help 7 people beat a boss for you to have enough faith to join

O and Sunlight medals are needed to lvl up in the Covenant

level 34, just got to blighttown with everything else checked out...the frame rate drops are so widespread that they are becoming a big detractor from the quality of the game, well that and the input lag sometimes that gets me killed.

I'm really liking the new stuff they added/changed, I just wish this game had the level of polish DeS had.

They don't respawn if you use a
Divine
weapon.

Soooooooooooooo i spent some time farming in darkroot garden and then pyro-ed through Havel from darkroot basin Xo. I still don't really like this game though, it peaked at the gargoyle fight with 2 summoned helpers and after that it was "eh". My least favorite levels are always cave/sewers and that's what Dark Souls loves.

The Anor Londo boss fight is bullshit.

Two on one? Okay... wouldn't be too bad if lancer guy didn't zoom around like this suddenly turned into an episode of Dragon Ball Z. And letting him attack with his long spear through his big fat teammate is bullshit of the highest order.

Yep. It's total bullshit. I'm going to attempt the following:

Level 99 mage
Praise the sun dude as a tank
Homing mass soul arrow + spear arrow

I kill 1 and half of the other before the praise the sun dude dies and I get raped in 2 hits (after the first hit it's over). Level 75 mage right now, putting the next 25 levels into intelligence so I can kill them faster. What pisses me off more is that each time I want to try this I have to use poison arrows to carefully assassinate all of those meth solders that sprint, then summon praise the sun dude, go in there and die. It takes 15 minutes per attempt.

I'm confident that I can do it with more spell power, but it's bullshit that I have to do this. The game is broken with mages. I can't block well, and if I miss one dodge it's over.

wep and they wont respawn, but that place still sucks.

Get to Anor Londo, you'll be in heaven.

Okay, one question about my char and where i'm standing right now.

I just made it to Sen's Fortress. With a Raw Longsword +2. I'm starting to think it's getting weak right now, and the +3 doesn't add much tbh.

So, my point is, I have 184 atk with this sword, just a little behind Drake sword. Am I a little behind on the damage to what's coming next?

Why are you in the Catacombs?

If you rang both bells, get over to Sen's Fortress. You're trying to tackle places you're not ready to.

I got called in as a Forest Hunter and spawned in front of the person I was suppose to hunt. I then got one-shotted by the multi-soul arrow spell or w/e. Magic is so dumb lol. Especially when you consider it seems like no boss is balanced around it and it makes the game easier than most other games(at least if you include a shield).

Btw, how the hell am I suppose to fight the
Butterflys
in the
Crystal
Caves after the Archives without a ranged attack?

Define
Divine?

After a weapon is +5, you can use green stones to modify it and make it divine, which scales more with Faith than other stats. It more or less cuts your physical dmg down by half and puts it into magic dmg

Holy crap? I beat them with my level 36 mage (who's secretly a pyromancer). I just spammed Great Heavy and Heavy Soul Arrow (and then Great Soul Arrow) while continuously backing up with my shield out. I only got hit twice. What are your stats?

You might want to grind out a Divine or Regular +10 Weapon. The
Serpent Men
in Sen's Fortress are tougher than they look.

you know what's amazing about Blighttown?

if you look up, you see the sun

you're just SO FAR INTO THE SHIT that you can't even get light
the frame rate is so bad, it takes that long for the sunlight to arrive

Well, got cursed again. Might as well go romp through the
New Londo Ruins
. The ember to get things to +15 is there, right?

With a bow maybe? I'm not there yet but rule of thumb is, if you don't pew-pew one way, you do another.

Well, time to try this anor londo fight again. I hope the camera doesn't flip out and get me killed for the fourth time.

Way too weak. I used a large sword with 310 atk and pyromacy fire orbs with ~320 atk to get through Sen's.

Pretty much hate this game at this point.

I have reached a point where I have put in about 5 hours trying every area and cannot even get past the starting point.

I am so fed up with this game I am thinking of quitting, I cannot progress, I have no idea where I am supposed to be going, I'm just done.

Gritesh said:
Past all of that, in fact I am at the point where I did all of that except for further into the garden with those spinning dogs.

I killed Quelagg and Ceaseless.

Now I am stuck, Catacombs, New Londo, Seths, deeper into darkroot, Demons Ruins, Drakes Wind... everywhere I go I don't make it very far before I start to get my ass handed to me, tried all areas and I am feeling severely gimped.

I'm all for giving help, but how is half way through the game equivalent to not even getting past the "starting point"?

Out of all the places you listed I would hit Deeper into Darkroot and Seths. I'm on Seths now, uhm... bring a bow for pulling, a good shield, and walk SLOWLY ;)

I killed the one egg dude blocking the hidden room with the chaos sister beneath the lower bell. I hope he wasn't important. :P

Can someone explain to me how the Resist Curse spell works? Does it actually cure you of a curse, or does it give you some sort of temporary protection against it sort of like the Transient Curse consumable item? And also, doe it actually cost a humanity? I've been looking all over to find the answers to these questions, and I'd really appreciate some info.

He apparently was, and you can talk/buy stuff from him. Which is BULLSHIT, because I literally could not pass him in my game without hitting him.

I had the same problem, but I *assume* if you answer "yes" to his question you do not have to attack him.

Is the boss after Quelagg meant to be killed later? It's fucking hard compared to the witch.
He's a shitty boss with a stupid gimmick. If you can kill Quelagg, you can kill him.

hopefully not. i haven't had to pew-pew anything yet, though i chose to throw knives at the mosquitoes because the lunge of my melee swing is so large i tended to pass through them and miss completely.
