Fuck Blight Town.

Seriously fuck it. If single digit FPS in some places wasn't enough there is an infinite supply of annoying mosquito buggers and a poison swamp!

And to top it off I got to what I think was the boss area
Quesomethings lair. looked like a spiders nest
and I die because I attacked something I don't think I was meant to and got swarmed. The message dropped there said 'Try fleeing' or something but I didn't know it meant don't attack those things >.<

Gonna try again tomorrow maybe.

It's not a super easy place...with that said, I never had single digit frame rates. I don't know why some people are having issues with the framerate.

Are any of the bonfires in
Demon Ruins
warp-able? I would fucking despise trekking all the way back to where I am but I really need some Humanity.

I was in that area but didn't go deeper because a sign warned me of a ghost and I got scared :(

Find the waterwheel. Super close to Quelaag's lair. (look for the torches) Put your left shoulder on the structure and walk forward keeping your left shoulder against the cliff wall.

Go into the tunnel you come across.

Bonfire.

Breathe.

why do I have this damn serpent symbol on my head ever since I entered sen's fortress?

P.s. HOLY SHIT @ THE AREA AFTER SEN'S FORTRESS. GORGEOUS

>.< I must've been inches away from it then.

Thanks, I'll be sure to get it next time.

Ouch. Yea, when you get to the bottom and turn right off the wooden ramp that you descended from, hug the wall kinda and proceed toward Quelaag's Domain. There's an archway on the right at the bonfire is literally 2 steps inside the archway.

has anyone been able to join people's game as a phantom but cannot summon one for their game? I have tried at least 5 times to summon a phantom to help me out but it fails every time

It actually improved my eyesight.

It sucked about the boss fight prior, it glitched out like it was falling off the bridge and stayed in a permanent 'falling down' animation which let me fuck him up

any clue about the serpent symbol shit?

Getting more invasion fails today. Last night I did like 20 invasions over the span over a few hours(like at least per three tries). Now I am trying and trying over and over again.

I tried to do some invading, didn't work out though. I think I'm too highly leveled for my area. 55SL at the entrance to Sen's Fortress. Tried regular invading and the Dragon invading one.

Finally rang the second bell. Now I'm having a hard time deciding where to go next. Ceaseless discharge killed me good, so I decided against going that way for the time being. Is Sen's Fortress, or the catacombs a better choice?

Alright GAF, I spent 3 hours trying to beat the boss pair in Anor Londo, and failed every time.

I took a 2 hour cool down period, and now I'm ready. For the fight of my life.
lol I had to beat that alone as well. The key for me was the ring that lets you do flips and shit, and taking out the dragonslayer first. With those two you are golden.

Nope. But see the lift near the White spider witch npc? You can use that later once you've activated it.

Make yourself a Lightning Halberd +5 and watch the fight get done in 2 minutes. Was the easiest bossfight for me after Goatse Dragon.

Still annoyed that Gravelord servant is bugged to shit and doesn't work. After days of helping people out with Quelaag i wanted to cause some harrassment :(

I'm having the same problem but I also haven't completed the forest so I have no idea where to go next.

HOLY SHIT I BEAT
Smough and Ornstein
. NOW I WILL EAT YOUR SOUL YOU FAT PIECE OF SHIT.

I love this game so much. 3 hours of fighting this boss, then when I beat him I hardly got touched, ended the fight with 8 flasks.

I kind of putzed around in the forest for a bit after ringing bell #2, but Sen's is really the way to go after that.

well I already beat the game but when I was doing it, I had nothing close to that. Got my lightning halberd +5 after that though, and proceeded to own every boss.

Anybody else swear by combustion? At first I thought this spell was pretty weak... it certainly looks unspectacular. But I've upgraded my pyro flame to max, and I'm finding this spell is saving my butt and just tearing through every enemy and boss. It does almost as much damage as the more powerful pyros, and has the huge advantage of being much faster (almost no time left vulnerable), and of course you can carry tons of them. Iron Flesh + Combustion almost instantaneously took down a few bosses and minibosses I'd been having trouble with until I tried this.

once it breaks it's gone forever. Can't be repaired.
Now you done it. You destroyed his dreams and it can't be repaired =P

You gonna need to test it, see if you can repair it after killing some enemies.

dumb question, but 360 or ps3...in this situation:

i never played demon's souls and 2 or 3 IRL friends are thinking about (maybe) getting the game for 360. i know it was developed on PS3, but it would be cool imo to see when someone you know is playing dark souls (or any game really), even if you can't interact with them. does the 360 controller do the job? i heard there was a little slowdown in the 360 version, but i don't know the extent of it.

thanks. will buy the game regardless. pumped.

In my experience the 360 version has a little less slowdown when installed. If not installed it's apparently a little worse.

Early game spoiler: How do I kill the

on the bridge and get its goodies at the same time?
Anyone? I've been looking online and it seems the
dragon area
is bugged.

Im SL57, where should i set up shop to help people?

I have tried so many times and failed.

Pick the area outside boss fog gates. Especially bosses that people typically have trouble with.

So, I've been doing some PvP. It's pretty much gone like this:

A. Person I invade runs back and forth constantly, continually popping healing items any time they can manage to get ahead of me.

B. I invade them and they end up having some ridiculous armor or weapon and I get owned.

When I use a cracked red orb the latter seems to happen. I invaded the same guy twice and he had this fucking crazy long pole weapon that could hit me from way far away. I got up close and hit him with my lightning spear and barely took a chunk out of his HP (he was wearing a full set of Havel's armor).

So, I changed to my Dragon King's GreatAxe, which hit him for 246 damage - a bit better - but he was in full plate and I was not. He ended up killing me no matter what I tried.

It's been mostly annoying so far - like, not fun at all. I haven't gotten any kills because most of the guys I invade via my convenant (Blade of the Darkmoon) don't actually fight and just run around in god damn circles.

Well, I've got a solution for that too - let's see how they like a greatsword that can slow their movement down to walking speed.

from the other thread:

Posted this in the main thread too, but it clearly moves way too fast:

Found some info on reddit that could help folks play co-op with friends

HOW TO EASILY CO-OP WITH FRIENDS

I'm not sure if many have figured this out yet, but I haven't really seen it posted here.
I was watching a stream of some dude playing Dark Souls the other day and he was constantly summoning his friend into his boss fights/areas. I asked him how he did it and he happily told me. Apparently, whenever you drop your White Soapstone, it's placed on a random server. If you drop it again, it's placed on a server different than the one it was before. So a buddy of mine thought we'd try out this guy's method of summoning his friend. My friend would drop his soapstone, and wait about 20 second, and drop it again until I told him I seen it, which I did eventually, every time. Sometimes it took five minutes, one time it took around 11 minutes, but that's because the first two times I seen his stone, he dropped another one before I told him I seen it, so the summon would fail.
TL;DR: Drop Soapstone near buddy every 20-30 seconds. Buddy should see it eventually when it lands on his server. Summon him up

First, shoot its tail until you get the sword from under the bridge. Ring the bell, and it should be in an attack pattern and sit somewhere on the bridge wrecking shit. Get close and high enough, such as the black phantom tower near the church, or where you fought the first boss on that rampart, then shoot and arrow and hope he glitches his way to an early grave! You get souls and the item. Move away and approach again if he doesnt.

Poison arrows or knives help too.

Yea but he can only be called by certain SL right?

And what's this about an elevator near Quelaag's domain? Is it in the demon place or in her domain?

edit: A good thing to use on PVP, is the item that disables the ability to use flasks. The first merchant sells it.
