Dark Souls |OT2| Praise the Sun!

Dudes, I stripped to my bare ass and just killed the Gaping Dragon without getting hit haha so question now is how on earth do I get to blight town?

Is there away there from the gaping dragon boss area or do I back track somewhere

Npcs in that area have a tendency to drop off cliffs. Then they blame you. Dunno if that's what happened, but it is known to happen. Those guys are now your friends
 
Am I missing something with "illusory walls"?

I read online that you just hit it to go through... or are 99.99999999999% of the hints for illusory walls just trolls getting me to ruin my shit?

(I found a message saying to jump off +6 so I tried it... fucking dicks :'( )

Go back to where the
merchant was. The gate next to him opens up to Blight Town.

Ya I kept seeing hints like that too. Sit there banging a wall wondering what they mean.

The thing is though, it doesn't say +6 or -6, it just shows the amount of ratings. Which makes rating it up or down kinda useless.

You should try dropping some of those stones off a cliff next time.

In the sewer outside the colosium where the dragon is there is a straight path to Blight Town. Just exit the dragons area and make a right once you hit the sewer part.

There is one in Sen's... I never knew about it until after I beat the level though. :p Once you open up the shortcut you don't really need it.

Yeah, was freaked out myself when I heard that. Then I kept looking for atleast 10 minutes for a new NPC.
Just keep playing the game. It'll make sense later in the game.

i was close to the bonfire after looking it up exactly, except i died to the firebomb. I saw the shortcut but haven't been on the other side to open it up. Keep dying :P

2h quick burst? I killed 2 of them but then I got rocked 2v1 and one of them respawned >_>..

Yeah, as far as I can tell. Though,
once you drain it you can take the closer elevator.

There is one...it's hard to find. You have to drop down onto it. I can't remember where though. I didn't pay it much heed as Sen's is pretty quick and I really didn't need it.

There's a shortcut
through the valley of drakes. On the way to the boss you can open the big ass doors that you can see behind all the drakes from the valley. Just save at the bonfire in the forest near the lake and then take the elevator down and sprint through the drakes (they're easy to dodge). It's not the best location, but better than running all the way back.
 
All the talk of you guys invading and summoning.. super pissing me off.. Damn Type 3 NAT on my PS3 is letting me do ANY of that. Why did FROM do it like this??

Do you feel that the ONLINE functions (such as not being able to summon or invade, when you are running NAT Type 3) can be patchable? I ask because I am about to buy a specific router to make it easy for me to switch to NAT Type 2, if not..

Because Demon's Souls worked fine for me in Type 3, for summoning and invading..

It's a trap, you really have to RUN as soon as you get out and know where you are going ahead of time.

A trap? Oh...do you mean the darts coming from the wall? Ha. Yeah. I'd already been through that spot though so I was expecting them. I found the bonfire after exploring pretty much everything else.

I don't know the technical side of it, but it seems like the online complaints have been the loudest, seeing as they've addressed it multiple times.

Google how to change your NAT. I did it a few months ago. Its fucking stupid and very time consuming but it works.

...I feel like I'm not cut out for this area yet. I am getting absolutely destroyed.

Once you drain the water in the area walk into New Londo from Firelink, go to the beginning area where two ghosts spawn, if you go to the edge you can jump off from there and be really close to the boss. Just be careful of the wraiths in the area. Good luck

Edit, if you haven't already, go for the armor that Ceaseless Discharge is guarding, even if it is a suicide run, it is well worth it, some of the best gear in the game.
 
I just beat the gaping dragon..how do I get out of here? If I go back the way I came I have to find a way up the waterfall and pass those frog guys, and I really don't want to do that. None of these gates in the boss area seem to open..

Thanks.. yep, spent over an hour last nite futzing with numbers and settings on the PS3 and router to no avail. I am connected wirelessly to the router. So tonight I will try to connect via wire, and hopefully that helps open up security.
 
So I got to the great hollow and got cursed, so do I have to go all the way back to undead perish for to take it off since I dont have any purging stones.
 
Really dumb question, but how do you jump?

Im trying to get to the aqueduct in the beginning of the game but cant figure out how to jump.

I think its the beginning of the end for me.

Yeeep. That zone is garbage anyway, there's nothing great there unless you really want the covenant that it eventually leads to.

You can only jump while running... on PS3, hold circle then tap circle

A lot of people will say the Lightning Spear found in Sen's Fortress, but any upgraded sword to +10 Normal or +5 will most likely best the Drake sword depending on your stat scaling.
