I traveled through 90% of the dukes archives and crystal caves only to be killed by the ice golems (not the ones in the field). What are the grey golem's weakness? They didn't seem to take too much damage from my fire attacks.

There is a total of 4 blacksmiths in the game but you are still fucked anyway since all of them offer different upgrade trees.

I havent finished this game yet, (i'm 65 hours in though) but i would say i prefer this to DeS. The world is so wonderful, lots and lots of variety. That extends to enemies, items, and weapons. This sucked me in alot harder and longer than DeS ever did.

Sullen knight guy will head for New Londo and go hollow after Frampt shows up. Pyromancer dude will head for Blighttown and go hollow after you learn Pyromancy from one of the later trainers and tell him where you got it.

Nope. Put on high poise gear and hope it's enough to not get swept into the holes. It's the only way really

That's completely dependent on your build... If you're talking stat neutral, the lightning spear should be a good choice because its loot as well.

He's stuck with sub-optimal gear if that's the case, it's true, but any build can use a Lightning, Fire, or boss soul-upgraded weapon. And pretty much any of those maxed out can see you to the end somewhat gracefully.

If you're gonna kill a blacksmith, I'd say he's easily the last one you'd want to kill.

Depends. Most scale against certain attributes to varying degrees. My character was level 70 Intelligence. Ordinarily weak with melee, but with an A or S rank scale in Intelligence, the character kicked ass with a sword.

I regret not knowing about this before I beat the game. I spend 2 hours in the sewers with the gold snake ring. Even with the ring, the drop rate was 10-15 per hour. Ridiculous.
