voltron said:Just get them both. Seriously they both seem to offer really compelling single player experiences, with very different premises. Get both.
60_gig_PS3 said:Keep in mind I just got my 360 so all of these new games seem impressive to me.
I thought the Darkness demo was pretty good. Aiming is a bit off but the graphic and animation are pretty bad ass.
Wario64 said:Darkness is horrible. I'm having a hard time just finishing the game.
Tobor said:I couldn't even finish it. It's just so stupid. At least Prey kept me interested enough to get to the end.
:lolTemplaerDude said:darkness sucks compared to bioshock.
bioshock is the golden light of all that is right in this world, of all that is beautiful and fun.
darkness is like leprosy compared to bioshock.
bioshock is the best game to come out in years.
darkness is the best game to come out with the name "darkness" in it in years.
bioshock is like sex with elisha cuthbert and scarlet johansson AT THE SAME TIME.
darkness is like banging your grandma.
get bioshock and the gods will forgive you for even thinking that the darkness is possibly, maybe, conceivably better than bioshock.
because it isn't.
bioshock is the best cake you've ever had in your life.
the darkness is communism.
you don't want to be a commie, do you?
:lolNinja Kn1ght said:LOL man I don't know. BioShock is way overhyped. get the darkness now and get the PS3 version of BioShock in a couple months. the Blu-ray will make the graphics way better. That seems wise.
MThanded said:Thats a good answer but he said darkness or bioshock. OP needs a single game to buy not both.
Kolgar said:Bioshock's movement and shooting felt a little awkward to me, and the graphics ranged from "wowzers" to weak (panning over the underwater city in the bathysphere, for example, I couldn't help but think how much more detailed the Ratchet & Clank city looked, and even on its own, the geometry and texturing looked pretty spare). The Darkness' visuals, on the other hand, are maybe second only to Gears, in my opinion.
bob_arctor said:Man. Can't really wrap my head around this one.
dak1dsk1 said:Depends. For some Darkness may be a better game? It's all a matter of taste and temper. I played both game demos last night, and was impressed by both.
Having completed both: There's nothing about the Darkness that's close to Bioshock.dak1dsk1 said:Depends. For some Darkness may be a better game? It's all a matter of taste and temper. I played both game demos last night, and was impressed by both.

60_gig_PS3 said:Hey I'm liking the Darkness demo. Is the final game as good as the demo?
I can't play the Bioshock demo because my 360 is fubar'd. Is Bioshock really that much better? Can't imagine because Darkness seems pretty tight.
Do you guys think I should pick this up or just hold out for Bioshock?
dark10x said:Man, you guys are way too harsh on The Darkness. Yes, Bioshock is a superior game. It's also pretty much superior to anything else released this entire generation thus far.
That doesn't mean The Darkness deserves such a thrashing by people. It's still an enjoyable experience.
Tobor said:Yeah, let's compare a futuristic alien city to a 1950's city built under water. That seems fair.
